Finished the single player campaign yesterday and it's still chucking new stuff at me.

I thought I had finished, but apparently not.

Story spoilers:
I've just got to the crystal place, hunting down that Diablos. Beat the pink Rathalos first try.

Absolutely loving this game.

I thought loads of stuff opened up at 6*...then I hit 7*

Still rocking the bow. When you get a combo going...and when you've stamina boosted

Funnily enough I'm finding that this game has so little quests open up at each HR compared to the old games

45 hours in and just got a full set of zora armour. This is so good. It's your there with Metal Gear Solid 5 and Bloodborne as games of the generation.

If I'm not playing it, I'm wishing I was and I've got other games arriving soon (Shadow of the Colossus, Bayonetta 2) but they'll have to wait as this is just perfect. It's got the loot and repeat loop down to perfection and every single creature feels like it's been worked on for years.

Also multiplayer quests are so much fun with everyone helping. Easily the best thing Capcom have done in years. Resident Evil 7 was great but lost it's way in the second half. This just gets better.

Loving the bow but may try something else later on.

I'm working on a build for my bow so decided to check YouTube. The level of depth is amazing. I'm in a new area now up against spikey McSpike Face. Taking time out to grind and get everything right with my armour and bow.

The grind is so enjoyable as the monsters feel like actual wildlife.

Is this worth playing as a single player game? Non of that multiplayer malarkey as I don't get time to devote to games much aside from a saturday morning.

Yes, it's the main way of playing the story

You can easily play it as a solo game. It's scaled for that

In fact I play all the first encounters with monsters solo to learn them...only MP with on farm mode.

Not had much time to play so far but I'm doing the prep quests now for trying to capture Zorah Magdaros (because that's obviously going to go so well). Enjoying the new environments so much, they make everything so much more interesting than the old games. I do need to go back and finish Generations' High Rank at some point, it's going to feel so weird after this.

He’s one of my favourite fights in the game. Crafted the insect glaive at the end of his weapon tree the other day and it’s a BEAST.

Equal opportunities, man. We no longer live in a world where only men can be follically endowed.

Or where cats can't have naturally bright blue fur.

I've also fallen in love with the bow

Spent most of yesterday upgrading different elemental bow as far as I can. So far I have Fire, Thunder, Ice and Dragon.

This game.

Spikey elder dragon is such a dick and traps don't work. PSN/MHW servers seem to be down this afternoon though so can't do it in co.op.

Working towards an epic bow build with piercing damage as the focus.

Traps don't work on any of the Elder Dragons btw (it's pretty annoying). I take it you're on about Nergigante. You should be fine as long as you avoid that diving attack that's heavily telegraphed by him flying up vertically, it can easily be a one shot kill if you don't have full health.
