I'm probably gonna end up getting the High Rank kadachi and Legiana armour again ">,> I dunno, other armour sets aren't interesting me enough. Maybe late game when you get to start mixing I'll collect more.

Awful, awful monster to fight.

Thunder mantle, vitality mantle, thunder resist gems and thunder resist armour are all a huge help.

Just hit High Rank last night and dumped all my armour spheres into my LR Odogoran armour and Legiana helmet.

I still kind of want to go back and get every low rank armour set before advancing because having a bunch missing is annoying me, but they couldn't be more worthless.

Yo I gotta remember not to sleep on Rathalos lol. Some of those combos are deadly. So far a lot of the veteran monsters have been pretty easy but Los actually poses a challenge when put into tight situations. This is low rank too, since I was farming for the IG parts. I fear what he's like in high rank, damn.

Reached the second Zorah quest earlier but decided to leave it for another day. Still really enjoying it but wish there was a bit more variety in monster types; missing all the insects/snakes/amphibians that the 4th gen added. Although I've managed to stay blind on the new monster front so far so I may still be surprised I guess.
Also, only realised yesterday that the LS has new spirit moves and sweet jesus I am in love with the superjump

Finally beaten Tempered Kirin after building a fire bow and a thunder proof outfit. Terrible fight but at least I never need to do it again.

Now I've unlocked the augmenting and already upgraded a few bits of my set. Now onto the real grind of the end game. Already got.my eyes on a new Axe and need a ton of decorations too. At 115 hours and not bored.

Need to get the rock steady mantle next, cannot wait for the free DLC.

Endgame so far is just basically grinding tempered elder dragon investigations in the hope you'll get drops for augmentations.

The feeling of suspense with waiting to fight the newer monsters is exciting. I really want to hunt that Bazelgeuse monster. Already encountered in an expedition but I kinda wanna wait for the official quest first >,>

If Iron Galaxy can pull it off, they would go down as port gods >,> I'd be so down for World on Switch, but not sure how much they'd have to sacrifice for it to work.

"Challenging" is Japanese Business Talk for "impossible".

No reason why they can't do a smaller scale game for the Switch. They'll be leaving crazy money on the table in Japan.

Fought Val so many times.... Still no jewel. Need it for my final upgrade to my new switch axe. Not the longest fight ever but so frustrating when I only need one thing. Saying that I'll probably need it again for augmenting the axe later.

I'd prefer if the Japanese release of monster on the switch got translated with a few tweaks to make it more like World. As it has different monsters and would be a nice contrast.

Nah, I like World but there are some things that classic Monster Hunter does better. World's maps, for example, are way too big and oftentimes there's a lot of unused space (no monsters visit the entire bottom quarter or so of the Coral Highlands, iirc). Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I'd probably still take the smaller, more efficiently used maps than the shiny new ones in World.

A portable version of World would be neat but I agree, a game that is built for the switch from the ground up would suit much better. Back during Tri we got Portable 3rd on PSP which was really good. Shame it was Japan only tho. I can see a similar thing happening again.

Do you know that you can get a gem by completing all the weekly bounties? You get things you can trade in and the value adds up ti 1 gem and you can choose a gem from any monster.

Well that's literally a game changer

Didn't even pay attention to the weekly stuff, finally got the last gem. Now I need another one for the augmenting.

Been neglecting the game since buying a couple of weeks ago but since the Aloy costume is now available again, I've been going though it to get my character to HR 11 to get the costume. I'm currently HR 8 and trying to beat the Legiana, tried to beat it last night with a team of 4 but we failed miserably so gonna try later.

The game is now Capcom biggest selling game selling 7.5 million, which is some very impressive numbers

I didn't even know about it until about two weeks into the game :lol:

I learnt this weekend about PowerCharm and ArmorCharm (and the stacking upgraded versions)
