Warner Bros is really taking the mick with this launch; the various packs are approaching
Watch_Dogs levels of silliness.
>
Standard game (£43)>
Special Edition (GAME, £48) - Standard game, exclusive steelbook, Goro character (DLC)
>
Digital Pre-order Bundle (PS Store, £50) - Standard game, Goro character (DLC)
>
Digital Pre-order Premium (PS Store, £70 before launch; then £80) - Standard game, Goro character DLC, Kombat Pack (classic characters) DLC
>
Kollector's Edition (Amazon, £90) - Standard game, Scorpion statue, exclusive steelbook, comic book, Scorpion Gold Skin (DLC)
>
Imported Edition (Amazon, £100) - Standard game, Scoropion statue (Coarse Version), exclusive steelbook, Two x Scorpion Gold Skins (DLC)
I can't fathom why the two most expensive editions don't include either the Goro character DLC or the Kombat Pack DLC.
Videogame publishers really are disappearing up their own rear ends. When a game is released it seems that, as a customer, you're always having to work to identify the "least-worst" option. In the short term these approaches must be making money, but in the longer term it's just pissing customers off.
EDIT: Yep, I have cancelled my pre-order.
EDIT 2: ...aaaaand breathe.
. The world continues. No-one was hurt
