Which game, TV show, film, product has the most misleading marketing?

Sea Monkeys? X- ray specs? Fallout 76? The new Toblerone in the old packaging?

Have to agree on Fallout. It was only the, what, sixth or seventh game in the franchise?

Same with Apollo 11. Just because Star Wars started at 4 doesn't mean every Sci fi franchise has the release out of order. :roll:

Recently it's No Man's Sky.

I've heard they fixed it now, but they released a product which was missing half of what was promised in the marketing. It even got taken off steam for a while because of it IIRC.

Then you have Kinect and more specifically the ex Bullfrog guys Milo. It was all made up, they knew at the time it was never possible but tried to market it as a finished product.

The game has had one of the biggest turnarounds ever - probably alongside FF XIV Online - with seven years worth of free updates that have really expanded the game.

But, yes, it was over-hyped at launch.
