I'm in Cyprus on Holiday and due to the extended downtime managed to beat Mother (Fan Translation) and I've got to say I loved it! The world map, the atmosphere, the music, it's a great game for its time in my eyes and I can't wait until Earthbound! It's such a shame it was never released here!

Has anyone else played/ beaten it? Where does it stand in your eyes?

Earthbound is my favourite game. Its not the best game ever, but it's completely unique setting, style and humour are what makes it for me (as well as typical JRPG gameplay done right, nothing new though). If you liked the original, you'll love Earthbound and Mother 3.

You beat your Mother while on holiday?

Isn't an official English release of Earthbound coming to Wii U VC at some point soon?

It is indeed, my money is it goes up during e3 as a surprise like what they normally do!

Misfits set with Doyle too

Earthbound is a great game world but the combination of slow battle speed, frequent encounters and overpowered enemies really strawberry floats me off. Stopped playing in the fire cave because 2 hits and my team just die, they're way above the level they need be at this point too.

3rd one is beautiful, can't wait to get around to finishing Earthbound and starting it on my phone.

EarthBound is probably in my top 5.

I would have struggled had I not played it on emulator with save states though, there are some real tough bits for sure. The amount of enemy critical hits. I'll be interested to see if people get frustrated with it playing on Wii U.

I was gonna see the Misfits a few months ago, but it was the Jerry Only version, with him on vocals. If they came with Danzig or Graves on vocals I'd see them in a heartbeat.

I thought everyone agreed Earthbound wasn't a particularly hard game. Some of the first few areas are pretty rough but you should never be getting strawberry floated over that hard.
