I thought the 120MB initial download might be deceiving. There's no way I can download 15GB on my internet right now, but when I go back home in January then I'll download it no problem.

Are you sure it hasn't worked? Try going into the store and downloading a freebie form the PS+ section.

Then go to the store and click on the playstation plus bit. It gives you a selection of freebies and discounts which change on a monthly basis. I think there are also other benefits such as being able to set the PS3 to automatically turn on and downlaod patches/demos at a certain time of day.

Yep, the downloads of updates can be set in the settings menu. You lose all you have downloaded if you don't renew mind. But you get a year to play them.

I thought we got free versions of Prototype and Assassin's Creed for a minute, but they're just demos. The freebie Abe game will get downloaded. I loved that the first time around.
