Batman's going to look pretty gooseberry fool standing next to Superman in a movie.

Logo looks similar to this from I Am Legend.

This sounds so gooseberry fool. :fp:

Batman works because he doesn't have superpowers and everything is (almost) grounded in Science. Superman is just crap and magic.

After the success of The Avengers I don't know how anyone can still think that.

Just explain why instead of being deliberately obtuse.

Superhero films are almost universally gooseberry fool. Batman is one exception. That will be invalidated with a lack of Nolan and the addition of Superman. Then made doubly bad by Zack Snider.

Seeing as Nolan's 'golden touch' did strawberry float all for Man of Steel, I'll be skipping this one unless my ticket is paid for like with MoS.

'Golden touch'? Sure it's Nolan's 'name on the poster to get people like you to see it, when he actually has barely any involvement'. In not so many words.

What was Nolan actually credited for in that film? Making sure there was no humour whatsoever?

He's credited as a producer and for the story along with Goyer. Though Nolan isn't credited for the screenplay, which leads me to believe he had one five-minute meeting with Goyer with some ultra-vague story ideas and then left to get started on his next project.

Man of Steel actor Harry Lennix came on stage to read a bit of dialogue from the graphic novel, of Batman speaking to Superman:

I want you to remember, Clark…in all the years to come…in your most private moments…I want you to remember…my hand…at your throat…I want…you to remember…the one man who beat you.”

Not go high hopes for this since Man of Steel was so disappointing, personally I think there shouldn't be any Batman movies for another decade, after the time has passed a Batman film with Terry McGinnis should be considered. I agree with the earlier comment, it seems rushed to try and get it compete with The Avengers 2.

Good idea to get the Justice League ball rolling but Man of Steel was disappointing and Zack Snyder is a tumour on the film industry. Not holding out much hope, depends who is cast as Batman I suppose

Mmmmm don't really know how to feel about that news. Even though they've teamed up in the comics before I don't know if I'm that keen on seeing a Batman/Superman film (yet) especially after Man of steel. I'd rather seem them continue with each franchise separately for now and build up the DC world properly (a bit like Marvel did).

Not going to rule it out as we know nothing at all about how they're going to approach the story. Hopefully they knock this one out of the park but we'll just have to wait and see.
