I was meant to be seeing this tomorrow but my local is doing the typical "hundreds of 3D showings but 2D at 9:10 or bust" tactic, so I'm probably going to wait until it's out and download it. Not paying extra for a film I don't want to support in the slightest anyway. My friend just wants to go because he likes Larry Fishburne

Burton's Batman killed many, many people too, so that aspect doesn't really bother me.

Did he blow up vehicles with people in them or shoot gas cannisters causing people to explode? In the Knightmare dream sequence he's just outright mowing people down with a gun too

Keaton straight up throws a guy off a bell tower in the 1989 version : And tries to shoot the joker with a machine gun in the batwing and then fires rockets at him. Then kills him at the end. And Bale's Batman caused the death of countless people in Batman Begins. You're also talking about a knightmare sequence, there.

To be fair it does seem a bit silly to criticise something that happens in a dream sequence. And as chalky said, the Tim Burton Batman was a stone-cold murderer

Well, going in with lowered expectations is sometimes a good thing. I quite liked Man of Steel.

I think I'm going to dodge the film altogether if it's a bit gooseberry fool. I've dodged turds like Fantastic 4 and Spider-Man 3 for long enough, should be easy.

The soundtrack is amazing by the way, some really mad tracks. It provides the film with its best moment too. Wonder Woman's entrance into the final fight was mostly seen in the trailers, but coupled with the soundtrack kicking in it's ace.

I can't imagine this film is worse than Superman Returns but I'll post my thoughts after I see it on Saturday. SR is probably the worst film I've ever paid to see and still will be considering my Batman V Superman ticket was free.

Many of the impressions are suggesting it's grimdark in an embarassingly childish way, just like Man of Steel was...I really hope I don't get dragged to this by friends ;_; I despised MoS and never want to sit through another take on Superman like that again, let alone one that drags down Batman with it.

The film doesn't drag Batman down with it, he's the best part. The only rounded character given motivation

I meant more in the sense of dragging down Batman's name, but aye that seems to be the agreed consensus on the film's best aspect. As many have speculated, that's probably what Affleck got his writer to redo eh...

Seeing this tomorrow. Regardless of what I may think of it, one thing is clear, Snyder needs to go.

I feared this would be underwhelming, as I found MoS almost tedious and then excessively overdone. The Empire review puts it firmly in the not Snyder's best film category along with his Superman take.


I'll just read the graphic novel and wait to rent it or acquire it online. I have no urge to spend money at the cinema on this.
