Bleeding Cool reporting it now too, supposedly going to be announced at Comic-ConImagine if they've already cast the new Batman and he walks out on stage at SDCC, the crowd will go MENTAL.

UPDATE: The Hollywood Reporter have just posted a story claiming that there will also be a Flash movie in 2016 and a Justice League movie in 2017
Bradley Cooper for Barry Allen as Flash plz.

Don't think I'd be able to take a Flash film seriously, I'd put it in the same category as Ant-Man.
I don't really see the point of a Batman & Superman movie if it's not Justice League.

I still haven't seen MoS. I have zero faith in Batman/Superman if it's the same team.

I'm sorry mori but after the hawkeye/kate bishop debacle I'm siding with Mark Waid on this.

Mark Waid's problem was more that Superman hadn't been seen protecting humans enough up to the point he killed Zod rather than that he killed Zod to protect lives.
While it's not entirely the same, in the most recent issue of Superman Unchained, Superman nearly embarks on a course of action which will kill people but would save the most lives.

That particular fight scene Waid was on about was absolutely ridiculous and wreckless, though.

I didn't see this thread until after i posted in the Man of Steel thread - and I did check!
Great news if done well.
From the sound of things it will be Batman introduced into the current Man of Steel mythos with Man of Steel supporting characters.
But who should play Batman?
