Why are you boycotting it, again?

I'm struggling to think of why Affect being best Bat is such a bold statement. Bale was good in Begins but had become ridiculous three movies in.

Suppose Adam West made the role his own as well.

Was really disappointed with MoS. Don't think Snyder is particularly good at anything other than visuals and action. He had a decent lead man, great Baddie and good support from Costner and Crowe and yet he made a 'not that great' film.
Wasn't impressed by Affleck's casting (Although see my comments on martin Freeman as Bilbo (and every other film where I talk gooseberry fool  ) for that).
Everyone knows the hard on I have for Nolan's trilogy and I just plain didn't want to see another batman film for a while. I knew (to me) it would suffer by comparison.
I also think they've just shoehorned Batman in to try and catch up with Marvel and push through their multiverse plan and thought the film was ill conceived and not well planned out. Some of those fears seem borne out but if Affleck is decent - it might be worth a toot.

I actually thought Eisenberg had potential but from what ive seen and heard -its awful.

It wasn't boycotting really - just a real lack of enthusiasm or interest in it.

To base it on one viewing is very bold. As is saying Bale was ridiculous.

I think everyone agrees that Affleck is the best thing about it, so you have nothing to worry about there.

I actually thought the gruff voice worked. I hate Heros who wear a mask then talk to love interest without changing voice and they don't pick
Up on it!?

It makes sense that he would conceal his voice and also create a tough appearance through an angry voice. Batman wouldn't be threatening to villains if he spoke softly or high pitched.

Bale was the only batman to actually mask what is likely to be a key identifier. Bruce Wayne is a well known personality in Gotham and is likely to have a recognisable voice (tv appearances, gala events etc)

I dont have a problem with Bales voice most of the time, its the way he uses his mouth in bits which makes him look hilarious and sound lipsy when hes really going nuts.

Affleck also really looks how I imagine Batman is, broad burly chap, with broad jaw that fills out the mask rather than Bales much leaner body shape.

Just back from watching this. I thought it was alright for the most part - in fact I'd go as far as to say it was quite enjoyable right up until the last twenty minutes or so, which were completely shite. It's a shame, as this could have been excellent with just a little more thought and a better director. Oh well. It's definitely not as bad as some seem to be making it out to be, in my opinion.

And Ben Affleck is an excellent Bruce Wayne/Batman. Preferred him to Christian Bale, no question.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

What's this gooseberry fool about Bale not being a good Batman? He is Batman. The amount of work and prep he put into becoming that character - or rather, those characters - was insane.

Murderman V Captain Hypocrite  That was great. They were never gonna like but it was still entertaining even as someone who doesn't agree with their assessment in general.

Warner Bros have released a deleted scene on Youtube. Why it was deleted is a good question though as including it would have made the Lex/Bat jail scene made more sense.

It's from near the end of the movie.

So the thing attaching to Cyborg definitely was a Mother Box then.

What the strawberry float is a mother box, though. This is the major problem with the plot, who knows what any of this gooseberry fool is if you don't read the comics? None of it is explained to a solely movie-going audience.

Christian Bale was a fine Bruce Wayne but not a great Batman. The Batman fight scenes weren't all that in any of the three movies, either.

This is the gooseberry fool right here.

Give us a whole solo movie of this please! Battfleck let loose on Gotham would be an amazing sight.

I don't know if i would say that Bale was not a good Batman - I enjoyed his films a lot. I just think that Affleck makes an excellent one and one that, on this admittedly relatively limited showing, I prefer to Bale's. That goes for both Batman and Bruce Wayne roles.

Although the 'Alfred' in Gotham is still the best.

Imagine if Synder could tell a coherent story along with his set pieces alas it's never to be. For as much as I love Begins and Dk, Nolans action just isn't there for me. Just doesnt have the quality fight choreography.
