That Dark Tower film might be back on.

Stephen King's The Dark Tower is being revived as a multi-platform television and film project by Sony Pictures Entertainment.

The popular literary series has passed through several studios over the last 33 years, with Ron Howard being the most prominent director to have worked on the project.

There have been a couple of live-action Mulan films, not by Disney obviously but the story of Mulan is a classic Chinese tale.

Oh yeah, but Disney have already done the perfect Mulan adaptation. They don't need another.

Next on the list: Pinocchio :dread:

Just think Frank, once they're done remaking them all as live action films, they'll start remaking those as cartoons :o

With any luck all these films will flop and they'll actually learn something.

I knew Maleficent was going to be the start of something dreadful.

Ryan Gosling is in negotiations to star in the “Blade Runner” sequel opposite Harrison Ford, it was announced on Thursday.

“Prisoners” helmer Denis Villeneuve is directing the sci-fi thriller for Alcon Entertainment with Ridley Scott exec producing.

Written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, the “Blade Runner” sequel will take place several decades after the 1982 original.

Ford will reprise his role as Rick Deckard in the film, which originally took place in a dystopian 2019 Los Angeles.

It’s unknown who Gosling will play.

... Ford will reprise his role in a movie set decades after the original?

That seems...

... Well then.

Won't this pretty much ruin the open ended viewing of the first film's end?

But people are still talking about the original... :shifty:

I don't really like Blade Runner enough to get the acclaim it's getting. It's good but not that great.

And the sequel will sucks balls compared to the original.

The first film was utter, utter guff but definitely happy to give it a second chance. Here's hoping they have a better script after all this time.
