I can see this being Marvel's first flop in their recent film outings.

Who the hell is going to go up to a ticket counter and say "Ant Man please"? :slol:

They'd be better off just introducing him in an Avengers film if they're that desperate to get some use out of him.

So far I haven't heard anything to put me off seeing the Ant-Man film. Edgar Wright, you guys. Plus IIRC it's not that Marvel are desperate to get some use out of him, but that Wright was looking to make a film based on the character. So that makes me think the story will be good, and well presented. Not to champion it before any details have come out or anything, but sounds alright to me.

What's wrong with saying the name of a film, there have been sillier titles in the past. Also, if that is going to stop or put you off seeing the film, just use the self service machines.

I'm interested in the Ant Man movie but it all depends on how the trailer is.

If Scott Pilgrim has shown us anything, Ant-Man will look amazing

There's also the fact that Ant Man is just gooseberry fool as a character and super hero.

When the most interesting thing about your character is that he's a wife beater then he doesn't make for a very good super hero.

The only way I'll be remotely interested in Ant-Man is if Wasp is in it too, and it involves Ultron in some way and sets him up as the villain for Avengers 3.

My god, it's like the bullshit spouted about the Wii's name prior to release all over again.

People won't go see Ant Man because Edgar Wright's films have been getting progressively worse. That's right.

I think I'm suggesting that Ant Man will be his poorest film yet, and that I also have little hope for The World's End. Or is my grammar failing me?

See Mighty Avengers #21-36.

Hank Pym from the Ultimate universe beats his wife, regular Hank Pym slapped his wife once after having a mental breakdown. Interesting fact, in the original script for that issue Pym knocks her over by accident when he turns around but the artist chose to draw something else.

I've heard some decent rumblings about the Evil Dead remake. Apparently it's more in-line with the tone of the original film than the second. I still think it's pretty pointless but I'm willing to give it a chance in spite of the fact it's script was worked on by Diablo Cody (Unfortunately I cannot unsee 'Jennifer's Body' :( )

"In 1987, Jean-Claude Van Damme landed the gig as the monster in Predator but it quickly went sour when he incurred the legendary wrath of 'Uberproducer' Joel Silver. By Van Damme's account, Silver fired him because he dared to speak out about a stunt that would have been unsafe in the cumbersome creature suit. True to Van Damme's screen form, he wraps up the episode of revenge-fantasy catharsis: another actor was brought in to do the stunt and busted his ankle, after which the costume was redesigned. ("That's obviously Jean-Claude making up stories," a spokesman for Silver Pictures said bemusedly, insisting there were no injuries, no safety lapses and only mininal "uncomfortableness" with the suit.)

But according to an interview with director John McTiernan, one appearance of the Predator was played by Jean-Claude Van Damme in a special effects suit. Van Damme quit after two days, apparently unhappy with being cast as an uncredited special effect. The alien was scrapped, redesigned and was eventually played by 7'2" Kevin Peter Hall, who sadly died in April 1991."

I did not know thissss...

Here's Van Damme's Predator.

It would be funny to see the predator do the trademark Van Damme splits, though.
