Disney have been discussing their release schedule over the next few years.

It's basically a license to print money.

If one of their untitled live-action fairytale films isn't Enchanted 2 I will riot.

Also Cars 3 and Toy Story 4 :dread: what happened to "we only do sequels when we've got an ever better story to tell" Pixar?

Disney took over that Pixar...

To be fair, they have 4 sequels to date, 2 are as good as the original (Toy Story sequels) one is decent enough (MU) and one was a pure money grab (Cars 2). So the record isn't awful so far.

Their next few films don't fill me with confidence, though. Especially considering how bad the Good Dinosaur was. I was excited about Coco until the Book of Life basically did the same thing with a fantastic style five years before they'll get to it.

Inside Out was a real return to form but The Good Dinosaur was painfully average.

Animated musicals really don't get much better than BoL. A true classic. Very hard to see it being topped, though no doubt the media blitz surrounding Coco will eclipse BoL entirely.

Sources tell Variety Ferrell is attached to star as President Ronald Reagan in the Black List script “Reagan.”

Penned by Mike Rosolio, the story begins at the start of the ex-president’s second term when he falls into dementia and an ambitious intern is tasked with convincing the commander in chief that he is an actor playing the president in a movie.

The script was so popular following its announcement on the Black List, an annual catalog of the top unproduced scripts in Hollywood, that a live read was done recently done in March starring Lena Dunham and John Cho.

Film sounds interesting but I think Ferrell is miscast. How long til Fox News hears about this?

Considering they've done three sequels and two of them were good-great I don't see the reason to be so hyperbolic

You're missing one :shifty: Cars 2 should have been a TV show rather than a film, Monsters University was average, and Toy Story 3 gets hype because of nostalgia factor. I've got no interest in the fourth whatsoever. Finding Nemo was pretty dire so it stands to reason Dory will be no better. Incredibles 2 is the only upcoming sequel I'm still excited about.

Toy Story 3 touched my cold, cynical heart. It was wonderful.

Though I do agree there is no need for a fourth. It ended perfectly.

Disney have their own animation studio, (Big Hero 6, Wreck It Ralph as well as Pixar (Toy Story, Nemo, Cars). I'm not actually sure what my point was

Disney are a cash money machine right now. The Marvel acquisition has paid for itself three times over, the Lucasfilm buy will most likely end up the same and their animation studios are still pumping out profitable films. It's mental.

EDIT: They made over $4 billion last year before Star Wars even came out. Madness.
