So the UK release of Poor Things has been cut to achieve an 18 rating, due to it breaking child protection laws (there's a sex scene with child actors present).

It's weird though, because it released in other countries first and I hadn't heard of anyone else cutting it.

I'm assuming they weren't actually present and it's just been edited that way? :dread:

Yes but the film wasn't cut just re-edited. Apparently originally at one point the child actors were in split screen but now it just cuts back to their reaction.

Saw the film on Monday, was good.

This looks interesting....and alot like what I'd expect Project Hail Mary to look like. Seems it's based on a book that came out before it though.

Sandler makes a lot of dumb movies with his mates (that tend to make bank) but he's also capable of excellent performances in more serious roles (Uncut Gems, Hustle, Reign Over Me) so be interesting to see how he does with this.

That Did remind me of PHM!

Also I never ever would have guessed to see this kind of Sandler-Mulligan pair up, nor even Sandler in this kind of film. Consider me interested!

The trailer on the Indian version of Sony pictures YouTube is way different and amazing.

Posted elsewhere but I just can't get excited about it. My heart is with Egon and GB1&2.

Will still give it a watch though but certainly won't rush to the cinema.

Same. Looks very Jurassic World: Long Kingdom. This is what happens when middle-aged men on the internet get mad, like they did with the female reboot. You go with the safe route and throw in a few member berries.

Ghostbusters - great
Ghostbusters 2 - meh
Ghostbusters (2016) - meh
Ghostbusters - Paul Rudd Edition - meh

I expect the new one will be entertaining while ultimately also being meh.

It really wasn't though. It was on a par with Afterlife.
