Never said it was a remake, was just saying it looks even worse than the last Robocop reboot in terms of totally ignoring the tone and themes that made the original film good in the first place.

Robocop was originally a violent tongue in cheek commentary about authoritarian corporate police states yet the reboot completely ignored that aspect and just became a by the numbers Action Blockbuster.

And Alien was a slow burning horror film followed by a reimagining of the franchise as a Vietnam war film.

There's many criticisms to be leveled at that trailer but 'it's not the same as the first film' isn't one of them.

Still unsure whether this'll be any good but my friend is a massive Queen fan so I'll be going to see it regardless. Wonder if any of it is actually Rami singing or if they'll have just overdubbed the actual Freddie vocals.

So the actual Muppets people have made an R-Rated muppets film.

Why aren't the Muppets dead already? I'm pretty sure no one's actually liked them since the 50s.

Looks so bad. I thought that Fuzz show (muppet buddy-cop sitcom) on netflix was pretty dull, and that looks even worse :slol:

Avenue Q is the only decent "adult" muppet thing.

That's probably one of the worst ideas for a film I've seen in years. The execution looks just as terrible.

strawberry float. No.

Bohemian Rhapsody looks wonderful, but that Muppet movie is straight up trash.

strawberry float. No.

The original synopsis I read of a Muppet noir sounded amazing but that trailer was awful.

Clearly it didn't turn out that way but it was apparently supposed to be.

It makes the humour in Avenue Q look nuanced!

I mean... on paper that could really work. Like "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" but with an adult twist.

But strawberry float that looks terrible. If that's the best jokes they could fit in the trailer then strawberry float me.

They're doing this really annoying thing with the trailers where they have the cast members introduce them in a really cringeworthy way. I don't know if this is a Jurassic World thing, or everyone's doing it, as I tend to try to avoid trailers, but that alone put me off seeing the film.

Goldblum doesn't specify, but I think it was supposed to be a big pile of Triceratops gooseberry fool, not horse gooseberry fool.
