HUM.

It's too clean. The Scrapyard looks like Disneyland. Even in the quick shots some of the real-face-CGI-body effects look bad. But the action sequences look good and I love the idea of Waltz as Daisuke.

But that face. Urgh. It's a decision that could could doom the movie from the start: it looks so, so bad. Nothing in the books suggests Alita looks any different from a normal human (apart from maybe her lips, if I remember correctly) and the idea to turn her into a CGI waifu monstrosity is just a complete non-starter for me. Seriously, urgh.

Aquaman gives me Man of Steel vibes in terms of the set-up; two beings from another world - Aquaman/Arthur Curry whose been raised on the surface and his half-brother, King Orm, declaring war upon that world - clashing over their personal ideals, much like Kal El and General Zod before them. It looks pretty great visually too.

That new Godzilla looks immense, aside from the bits with all the people in it obviously.

Hands down the best trailer to come out of Comic Con this year.

I don’t think it’s shopped, looks to me like they shot it on location on the M6 through Birmingham.

It's amazing that they completely fail to make the Terminator film we all want which is the bloody war seen in the clip with the robot crushing the skulls.
