Basically a trailer. Contains Ian Malcolm if you're into that sort of thing (everyone is into that sort of thing)

I really hope that's not the end of the film they've just shown, also why show the reveal and kill moment, it would have been nice to have that as a surprise like the end of Jurassic World. Overall it looks ok, I'm sure the next trailer will show there is more to the movie than that.

It's not. The end is believed to be a sequence not even shown in the trailer, but which was seen in the behind the scenes vid the other day. In the mansion

I thought that looked pretty terrible. And it sounded like Goldblum was just phoning it in. He can do so much better.

I think that's the most cynical trailer I've seen in a while, playing only to nostalgia and spectacle. The snippets of plot we get are absurd, the few lines of dialogue are cringeworthy (though admittedly out of context) and there's no hook to speak of. Books/covers etc but I'm willing to bet this'll be hot garbage and the end of the series.

Enjoyed the synchronised dinosaur swimming bit at the end there though.

Jurassic Park has been gooseberry fool since three quarters of the way through The Lost World. Not expecting an upturn in quality here.

What a shite trailer.

Is there a bigger franchise than Jurassic Park that has such a low good to bad film ratio?

Another thing, I understand they need a hook to make this different to The Lost World but the volcano...who builds a theme park on an island with an active volcano?

Alien? 2 decent films versus 6 bad ones, so 1:3

Fast and Furious, 1:7

Transformers which is currently at 0.

I'd say JP is at 2:2

I meant franchises that had at least one great film so Transformers doesn't count.

Alien is a good shout.

The premise alone sounds like it will be rubbish.

If they just call it “Massive Dinosaurs v Enormous Volcano” then I am sure SyFy will show it.

'save dinosaurs from an exploding island'? Jeez, sounds like a lazy plot. Also at least say erupt and not explode.

I'll still see it no doubt, but my hopes are pretty low.

Jurassic world was good though. Excellent ending too, the final battle was pure cinema joy.
