Halloween 2018 film is the true direct sequel and canon to the original 1978 film. Apparently. All the others are disregarded.

I only watched the first Halloween last year so I'll just skip the others and watch this.

Bizarrely the US had to wait 3 weeks for it, like we do with Ant Man 2.

What did you think?

Has anyone else seen the trailer for Spiderman: Into The Spider-Verse (I don't know how to link and can't be arsed to find out right now)? I've only watched it with the sound off (at work) but it looks absolutely incredible.

Some idiot posted it into the MCU thread which is obviously the wrong thread. :fp:

I put a review in the last film watched thread. It's enjoyable but flawed. 2 films stuck together. Adventure then horror ish. Seeing it again tomorrow evening hopefully I'll still enjoy it.

The cast makes it look like an SNL comedy parody or something.

Casting, script, trailers, early screenings and re shoots all point to a car crash of a film. So sad as a direct sequel to predator 2 with Arnie teaming up with the survivors to hunt down a new predator would be amazing. Even a sequel to predators would be good.

Saw this trailer today on YouTube. Such a contrast to modern trailers. No big moments spoiled, no shots of raptors or T Rex. If it was made today they'd show the T Rex chase, raptors vs T Rex and probably close the trailer with "clever girl" and the death of a character.

The new Halloween looks ok but personally I think Halloween should have been left after Donald Pleasence died (probably spelled that wrong but I mean the guy who played the Doc).

I think trailers often give away too much heck I often find them just plain to long, just start getting me excited then finish so I need to see more, don't over stay your welcome.

I edited the trailer to Halloween 5 because I felt it was too long and showed to much, I wanted something shorter and less spoilery.

You barely even see a dinosaur in it. It definitely explains why the moment you 1st see the dinosaurs along with Laura Deen is so impactful. I remember being absolutely blown away by how cool it all looked at the time. It still holds up as well, 20 odd years later.

How weird, I watched that JP trailer yesterday. I love how they never properly show the dinosaurs.

However, a lot of older trailers show pretty much everything and are about 4 minutes long. The best thing about those trailers is the voice overs though. I rather miss that.
