Is Dodgeball 2 going to have an inspiring cameo from Lance Armstrong?

Yes! Trying to work out if Armstrong would do it. On the one hand, he clearly has no sense of humour; on the other, his massive ego wants back in the public eye.

He'd probably rather play the role of disgraced former American Dodgeball star who was wrongly (in his eyes) accused of doping and is on a quest for redemption.

Neill Blomkamp has opened his own studio, with an eye to releasing films on Steam and YouTube. His first stars Dakota Fanning and Sigourney Weaver, and is set during a near future war against alien invaders.

A UK Based Jackie Chan Action Film?! Director of Casino Royale you say?! Colour me interested. Surreal seeing him sat on public transport he's probably eligible for his Senior Citizen Pass. Looking forward to this:

A friend of mine wants to go and see the new Planet of the Apes film and has invited me along. I watched a trailer and it looks terrible. Like, really strawberry floating bad. Is it as gooseberry fool as it looks?

The reviews are very positive, but if you don't think it looks like your kind of film from the trailer then you may not like it. Did you see the previous film? My guess is the tone is similar to that.

It’s the third part of a trilogy (Rise, Dawn, War), if you haven’t seen the other two then I would give it a miss if I was you.

The first two movies were excellent though so I would recommend watching them!

I was stunned by the first one. The trailers really put me off. Gave it a go and loved it; same goes for the sequel. The CGI is occasionally wonky, but on the whole it's a great film. IMO.

You really need to see those before the third one, though.

Okay, if I need to see the first two, that sounds like a level of effort that I'm not willing to put in. :slol:

Thanks for the replies though. I might try and persaude her to see Baby Driver instead. Otherwise she can go by herself.

Same here. Thought they'd be crap but they're really well done. They absolutely nail the tone. Managing to be serious without being ridiculous somehow.

While it is obviously ridiculous, they are about as "realistic" as the concept could ever be.
