I know that's jingoistic bollocks but I wonder every time I see Americans saying a civil way may break out if they realise what a shitstorm it would be.

Do you really think they're saying it without cause? Do you think they aren't incredibly afraid of what a US civil war in this day and age would look like, what atrocities it would lead very quickly to?

Depends on the side saying it. One side are terrified because they know full well what it will lead to. The other side are salivating at the prospect at killing the "wrong" type of Americans.

True, some of the MAGA sorts have been made bloodthirsty by decades of festering hate, propaganda, and politicians ratcheting up the dehumanizing, violent rhetoric. And in many areas, they'd have a free hand to do whatever they want without any immediate fear of the US military or police intervening. The former group isn't going to be looking for death squads in rural Appalachia, the latter will probably be joining them.

The Meal Team Sixers, the militias with DC regime change on the brain, they'd very quickly find that their romantic idea of war doesn't match the reality. But they're not the ones I worry about, not as much anyway, though I suppose that depends on the President.

I think they also underestimate how brutal the conflict would be.
They have this idea that any opposing US forces would play nice and not send in squads to arrest or kill ringleaders or just bomb the absolute gooseberry fool out of rebel bases.
They think the US armed forces will be scared of their light arms which is just bonkers.
Any civil war in the US would be a shitshow of epic proportions and I can't see any losing side being treated well.

I love Cop 1 and 2 but there’s so many red flags here. Firstly, Cop 2 was made by Tony Scott coming off Top Gun. Slicker than a greased otter. This has a first time director for some reason. Then you have the fact it’s streaming-only, that Eddie Murphy is somehow a 62-year-old who has never been promoted and the fact that the actor’s comeback has been extremely low energy, which is the opposite of what you need from Axel Foley. Still though, can’t be worse than the third Cop… probably.
