From now on game disks will ship with wall mounting brackets.

;)

I have a couple of framed posters, they look so much better when put in protective frames.

The Suffering
Metal Gear Solid 3 big poster
Metal Gear Solid 4
Silent Hill 4
Condemned.
Red Resident Evil 4 poster.

I advise not taking any to uni, unless you want to be known as that nerdy guy who has video game posters on his walls.

Listen to this man.

Though you could get lucky and find a girl who is into guys like that... like I did.

But yeah... Abs speaks the truth. Maybe just take Mario pyjamas instead.

I didn't mean to sound harsh, everyone loves a bit of gaming.. but I mean you don't want to be a grown man with Gears of War posters on your wall, at least if they were slightly artistic they'd be allright but they look like you got them free in a glossy gaming magazine.

Hey, alot of them are exclusive poster that you won't find in a shop...or magazine
(Why do you think i said i'm only taking one :shifty: )

I'm currently swaying to taking my music ones. I was going to leave them with my best friend but the bastard would probably sell 'em the second i've left

I have an amazing Street Fighter poster. It's more of a banner though.

And I have this over my PC, as if all the zombies are grabbing for me:

And I have a Joker poster of a frame from The Killing Joke. You know the one.

Nah. If anyone took the piss, strawberry float 'em, I simply wouldn't care. I had a Zelda poster up and it just meant one or two people (actually I think they were girls) said how much they loved Ocarina of Time etc.

Far more obvious was my own fairly gothic paintings so I suppose they stole most of the limelight!

Having said that though everyone at "art uni" is mental so it probably doesn't make any difference what you put up. I met one guy that was massively into Transformers and there were loads of film geeks (who were often into gaming, similarly) that had stupid amounts of DVDs and huge movie posters, like someone had a 5"x4" Reservoir Dogs one.

Even if you had a Zelda poster up now its still infinitely preferable to Gears of War 2. Having a poster of Ocarina of time up nowadays would be like having a classic film like reservoir dogs. Having a gears of war 2 poster would be about as socially acceptable as a GIJoe poster

 Yeah I suppose you're right. I remember I had Resi 4 up as well. I can probably get away with that.

Still, I'm not bothered. I like the characters and they remind me that I have really loved some games just like any movie or band. I don't decorate my room to look cool.

I've recently moved house and now my bedroom walls are bare. Don't really want to put posters up again, but it needs something to liven them up a bit.

Print a load of photos off and use these to create some sort of collage or just pin them all to a massive pin board. At least this way you can alter it occasionally.

Posters can be good, i used to have a uni halls room covered in them, but now my tastes have changed. If you want to have stuff up on the walls, try getting some cheap clear plastic frames for the better ones, that way you can have things on the walls.

The one of the few posters I had on my wall was this one

Image

I picked it up when I was in the NY MOMA

The viewer's first reaction to Untitled (Death by Gun) is one of uncertainty. Is this stack of papers on the floor meant to be walked around and viewed from different angles, like sculpture? Or did the artist intend these papers to be picked up and examined? Listed on the sheets are the names of 460 individuals killed by gunshot during the week of May 1–7, 1989, cited by name, age, city, and state, with a brief description of the circumstances of their deaths, and, in most cases, a photographic image of the deceased. These images and words, appropriated from Time magazine, where they first appeared, reflect González-Torres's interest in gun control.

It was quite a thought provoking bit of art, if a bit depressing.

I also had this
Image

Nothing beats the image of a large horse having healthy pish. :shifty:

And the poster from Frankenchrist by the Dead Kennedys. I would put the poster here but then I would get a perma ban for posting hardcore porn. If your curious just google "penis landscape"

For those who frame their posters, is there any good online shops you can purchase frames at a good price or do you just pick them up locally. I've got quite a few posters in storage that I'd love to have framed at some point.

I've got a big Akira poster in a nice looking frame from ikea, cost less then a tenner if I recall and wood too, not a cheap looking plastic one.
