My new PS3........

So I got myself a brand new PS3 to sit next to my 360..
I must say that for the first few days I was a bit underwhelmed by it all. Then I played "Flower". What a delightful game this is
This morning I popped "Drakes Fortune" into the drive and have been playing on and off all day..Haven`t had so much fun playing a game for a long,long time..
Also have Killzone 2..Which, if I am honest, doesn`t for me come close to Gears 2 in terms of visuals and gameplay. But its early days yet with this game..
My conclusion is then, after the first few days, that the PS3 is a great piece of kit with some really unique games. I do think that so far, it hasn`t quite matched the 360 in terms of graphics, but I can`t help thinking about the gulf between the first games foir the ps2 and some of its later ones, such as SoC, GoW etc,..
I am hoping then that in time, developers will start to get the most out of the system, but as yet, it hasn`t happened..
I don`t want to start a riot, just share my thoughts on this...and see what other people think?

flower is great eh, so simple yet so utterly absorbing. and drakes is the business as well, im near the end, but my feeble game skills mean i am struggling. have fun mate. gti, wipeout and flow are worth a download.

Valkyria Chronicles, Flower, WipEout HD, Metal Gear Solid, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm PR and Little Big Planet are all gorgeous PS3 exclusives and then something like Burnout Paradise shows that that sometimes multi format games can look better on PS3.

It has, obviously you have not played third party games from 2007. They were awful! I remember I wanted to get rid of PS3 cos of that but now I'm very glad I kept it!

It is getting better and better, like you said about PS2.

I too got a new PS3 at the weekend, £280 with Killzone 2 from Toys R Us, which I thought was a good deal.

So far only played Killzone 2, Home and the Burnout Paradise Demo.

Looking forward to Metal Gear and maybe Little Big Planet.

Don't. Get LittleBigPlanet from Play and download Wipeout HD from the store, best download ever.

Also what lead are you using, get HDMI if you haven't already and don't use that lead out of the box.

Those two games are way better than Heavenly Sword but Heavenly Sword is still a pretty good game.

No it's crap with nice cutcenes, wait for God Of War.

His money will be better spent elswhere.

Yeah God Of War will be better. What I like about Heavenly Sword isn't so much the gameplay it's more the great acting, score and graphics(when the screen doesn't tear).

Oh and I presume you are all playing in HD? CABLES are important with this sort of stuff.

I'd take a punt on Heavenly Sword for a tenner, no problem.
Buy Motorstorm 2, as well.

I enjoyed Heavenly Sword too. I think it's definitely worth £9.99, and the main woman is gorgeous. You should definitely pick up LBP, that is my favourite game this gen so far.
