I'd love to see a 2K footie game, or a new Sega Worldwide Soccer by the guy who made the Saturn games.

Or perhaps because the play space in basketball is smaller and easier to more realistically render.

I'd love to see 2K make anything. They are the best Publisher these days by a country mile.

Yeah, I'm sure reflections are harder to render than grass. That's why so many games have reflections everywhere.

Less players to render too.

Not sure about that. Look at the bench in NBA. All of the subs are fully rendered there.

I didn't see a single shot there that I would consider to be 'gameplay'.

I tend to skip replays and I hate close-up shots. It's fluff. The only graphics that matter are the shots from the elevated side camera that everyone actually uses.

2K appear to be introducing a new technique to get a bit more cash... pay more to play early. NBA 2K16 will have a " Michael Jordan Special Edition" that will be exclusively available in the UK at game.co.uk and cost £70. It'll launch on Friday 25 September, four days before the standard game's launch date. Maybe it should have been "For three!!!".

My! How times change! Two years ago I was going on about NBA 2K having a seventy quid edition... now they have a £120 edition. Or an £85 edition if you’re looking for a cheaper option.

And they’re absolutely slamming home the “micro” transactions, too, as Jim Sterling details here.

EA are doing similar. Trying to get everyone on the origin access 10 hour trial train by restricting when Fifa 18 can ship. They're stopped online retailers from shipping until the day before. So some people will be shafted by the post on release day. A dispatch embargo........for a sports game.

I can see why some folk may not like his style... but "bored", Phote? And why is he "a wanker"?

I had my eye on NBA 2K18 but that is absolutely shocking business practice. It looks like it's gone from cosmetic stuff to making the game mode redundant unless you pay up.
