Alright, now that we've ruled out any form of I-phone, I'd like to ask for suggestions on what are good smartphones out these days. I've never used one so I have no clue on where to go. Hell, I've never even had a touch screen device so all of that is going to be new to me. In the past I have always trusted Nokia and Sony Ericsson phones but I don't know how they fair in the time of smart phones. All I know is I want a phone that uses android, will allow my to hold my ENTIRE 6 gig MP3 collection, will have a good enough camera so I can take pics of at least 5Megapixels as well as video of at least 640-480. I also want there to be a flash with my camera like my old Sony Ericsson had. What else, oh yeah, I want my phone to be able to support OGG and Midi tunes as I'll be playing some of my video game music on it. I'd like it to have a decent battery life too.

If possible, I'd like my phone to be able to be used as a TV remove when by my computer. I've been told that with the right hardware attached to a PC, you can configer your phone to work as a remote (just as I-phones can be with macs).

So, please provide suggestions.

How about an iPhone? They're much better than I-Phones.

It would appear the Samsung Galaxy S3 isn't out in Europe yet. What do you estimate it'll cost when it's released?

Nokia Lumia 800. You can get one refurbished from the BT Outlet on eBay for less than £250. There is no better phone for this price, and in some ways, there is no better phone available.

One of the Nexus phones or a Samsung Galaxy SII or SIII. Battery life isn't great but that's a general problem with modern Smart phones.

I think the Galaxy Ace is pretty good too.

What's a Galaxy Ace and how is it worse than a Gallazy II?

S III its out soon and is around £500 sim free

I wouldn't go for the lumia as you want specific audio files to work and I don't know if they will on wp7 but there will be an android app.

The ace is slower processor, less storage, less ram and older version of the os, I would go nexus

The Ace is the cheap Galaxy, depends what you want really, it's not a powerhouse phone but it works well.

I got a Galaxy S2 for £250 from CEX, so you don't have to spend the full on whack for a new one.

I don't care to play 3D games on it so I don't need a fancy graphics chip or anything. I want to be able to make Videos of at least 640x480 and at least 5MP pictures with flash. I want to be able to surf the web, view youtube, that sort of thing. Erm, being able to watch videos would be nice too.

This is the ace, video recording isn't as high as you want.

So it would seem the Galaxy S2 would be my best bet then. I'm wondering how cheap I could get it for. I want an unlocked one as I will be switching sim cards from time to time.
