EA should just bin this franchise and get to work on a new Road Rash, which would actually stand out in the market.

I quite like the Need for Speed series even though it has been a little clunky in recent releases. There aren’t that many arcade racers there; on PS4 there are plenty of techie sim racers (GT Sport, Project Cars 2, F1 20xx, various WRC games... even DriveClub) but few simpler ones. I would love to see Forza Horizon on the PS platform!

It would be ace to see the return of the real Road Rash. Great games... the N64 version is my favourite!

5.9: irritating characters, card-based lootbox upgrade system.

So, I did get the game and season pass ( :fp: ) in a sale at Christmas. Just saw that some new DLC has been released this week (Pontiac Firebird and Aston Martin DB5) and they look prety cool so I thought I'd download them... except the Store is telling me that I have to buy them.

Don't tell me this is DLC that isn't part of the season pass? :? :x :fp: ... .

EDIT: I may be mistaken with what I thought I'd purchased. I got the Deluxe version and saw the upcoming DLC listed; it doesn't actually say "season pass". These new cars apear to be extra to that list and EA is charging for it. I'd forgotten that we're in a time where buying the DLC version doesn't mean that you get all the DLC :| .

Forza has done this for a while too but at least the core game has (mostly) been good to begin with. I've looked at this on sale a few times and been tempted, then I played Midnight Club LA, a game from 10 years ago, and that temptation goes away.

I've always brought all the Need for Speed games since Most Wanted 2012, but this one I'm not bothering with.
EA bulls this one up and I can't be bothered with it now, I'm gonna get that Burnout Paradise remaster instead.
