strawberry floating proles. Why do people who have no idea what they are looking at even attempt to offer professional insight? banana splits.

Jesus that vid is full of "proper top-quality banter".

I just can't watch mainstream gaming press vids of racing games - they either have no idea what they're talking about and/or are utter gooseberry fool when it comes to playing them for previews etc. I love Giant Bomb, but they always get the person with the least experience and knowledge to do driving game videos, which is strawberry floating embarassing.

I don't think I like a single presenter at IGN, apart from the Asian girl they're a complete bunch of clueless idiots.

This twat's the worst of the lot...

I can't stand it when someone who is gooseberry fool at a particular genre gets to do a video preview of said genre. gooseberry fool at racing games? Yeah sure I'll do the project cars review, this game has a chase cam right?

gooseberry fool at fighting games? Yeah I'll play, I can be Ken though right?

Some new game info taken from Amazon's product listing.
Amazon wrote:Rich Authentic Customization:
Build a car that reflects your character through extensive visual and performance customisation.

Five Ways to Play:
Need for Speed returns with 5 unique ways to play, Speed Style, Build, Crew and Outlaw, enabling you to earn reputation and ultimately win your way.

West Coast Urban Setting:
Discover a nocturnal open world of urban car culture you never knew existed.

The release date is listed as 30 November. I'm keen to see more of the game although I'm a little apprehensive that it appears to be focused upon purely night-time driving - and that it may prove a tad too "Oi, oi!" in style.

Shame it seems to be constrained to LA, would've loved other cities like London, Shanghai or Tokyo.

This trend of open world racers is leading to driving games with no location variety :?

I wouldn't necessarily agree. Certainly all the open world racers with cops etc are city based, but Forza Horizon has done well with interesting and different locations.

NFS will require an always-on internet connection to play.

All my interest is now gone. Oh well.

I bet there's no single player in this, you just cruise around like an MMO while random people dip in and out of your game :?

Singleplayer that for some reason still needs an internet connection. This is going to be Simcity all over again.

Always online is fine except when it doesn't work on their end. Plus this plays into the EA strategy of shitcanning the online parts of a game a few years after launch, which in this case will kill it dead. Having had enough gooseberry fool with The Crew, I think i'll pass.

A single player mode where you have to be online.

Yeah right, gonna have randomers dipping all in and out of that gooseberry fool.

They already did that, it didn't work so well.

Delayed on PC until early next year to unlock framerate etc:

At Ghost, we’re united by one common passion... to deliver the best Need for Speed™ experience possible. And at every step of the development process we're guided by our community. Whether that’s reading your comments on Facebook or Twitter, watching your videos on YouTube, or joining in with the discussion on Reddit, the conversation we've been having as fans of Need for Speed is enormously important and we’re working to reflect it in the game we're building.

Part of the conversation includes hearing from our PC community that an unlocked frame rate in Need for Speed is a massive priority for you, and we fully agree. To deliver this, we’ve made the decision to move the PC release date to Spring 2016. Our PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release dates will remain the same, starting November 3, 2015 in North America and November 5 worldwide.

To me this translates as "Oh gooseberry fool, the Batman debacle was a massive strawberry floating PR nightmare, we can't get away with pumping out locked 30fps games on PC anymore, time to put a positive spin on it".

Im interested to see what you think of the demo, guys. I like NFS, although I'm more into NFS / Hot Pursuit / Most Wanted / Rivals than the "Show your swag!11! Evry1 is lookin' at ya!" styling of some the other games in the series.

Dem grafx!

Just to elaborate, I'm playing on PS4 (appears to be 900p/60fps).

The graphics look just as they did on the original trailer, eerily realistic and frankly stunning. The lighting and the attention to detail put into the city is really impressive, there's also a film-grain effect that helps to bring it all together. My only complaint would be some low-res textures I've seen on some of the buildings.

Edit: Might be 1080p, but the film grain gives it a slightly soft look, can't see any jaggies.

The acting in this is embarrassing, it's like a strawberry floating Mega CD game
