Bobby Kennedy for President is a great 4 part documentary. RFK obviously gets overshadowed by his brother, so it was interesting to see more about the life of the younger Kennedy brother.

Just watched the first two parts. It's a really bizarre story, I vaguely remember some of it from the news back then but not how all the dots are connected. So far a very interesting watch.

I feel really sad for the collar bomb guy and his family

Just started watching this and it's gripping.

Random thought is this what 30 mins or less could be based around or at least got the idea from.

Was there ever a proper thread for 13 Reasons? Giving the first season another go. Three episodes in now, and man, the whole secret-society-of-jocks-who-were-on-the-list is possibly the worst addition to the TV show. Just drags it out just so they can throw in a little bit of suspense beyond "why is Clay on the tapes when you only ever see him being buddies with Hannah" :dread: I can only assume that's what the second (and third) season will focus on? Would much rather a feature-length edit that cut all this bullshit out. Keep it close to the book, not sowing seeds for another season.

The music is pretty spot on, though. That's the one thing they got *right* with this.

13 Reasons? It's a shame, really. The book is great, and I loved Next to Normal, which was written by Brian Yorkey (and covered some pretty heavy subjects for a musical) but he seems to have utterly ruined this.

Powering through the latter half of the first season of 13 Reasons Why now, it's definitely picking up steam. Episode 11 now:

Clay going full crazy with the foreign exchange students :slol: "Hey Justin! Where's my bike?"

I'd totally forgotten Jeff died, too. I heard the principal mentioning they'd "lost two students" in an earlier episode and was trying to figure out who or where. That whole episode was brutal. Clay telling Jeff's parents the truth and apologising because he'd assumed that Jeff was drunk driving

The Hateful Eight is on UK Netflix now. Not a massive fan of latter-day Tarantino, but thought this one was pretty good, if a little overlong.

Just finished the first season of Glow. Ellen Wong  Kate Nash :datass:

Netflix seems to be getting into a weird habit of making Alison Brie have abortions...

This was recently added to Netflix, I'm a few episodes in and it's fantastic so far. Despite always being interested in this conflict and its depiction in media, I actually knew surprisingly little about it. It seems very thoroughly researched and contains insight from a multitude of people who were present, including Viet Cong. If you have even a remote interest in the Vietnam War, I recommend it. It also has a great soundtrack by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

I'm a couple of episodes into it and yeah it's great. I'd seen it mentioned a lot in podcasts and it's nice to see the hype wasn't misplaced.

It’s already been on BBC4 but Netflix has the extended versions.

Anyone watched sacred games? I’m not a massive fan of bollywood movies, but this certainly isn’t bollywood, with its intense violence and sex scenes. I’d recommend everyone watch it, even just to see what mumbai is really all about.
