In the episode I just watched, it was about an Asian man sitting in the back of a taxi listening to Soft Cell for about 5 minutes.

Tom from Parks and Rec vanity project.

Seems to be a critical darling, but divisive among people I know who watched it.

It really was. It reminded me of a scene in Better Call Saul (that just showed a pair of trainers swaying in the wind on an electric line) in that nothing was really happening but at the same time it was absolutely gripping.

The latest series of King Julien has got a motion tracker, someone telling someone else to 'stay frosty' and a then shouting about the monster in the ceiling. And it's supposed to be a kids show. It's well worth a watch.
