When I was in my teens, a friend of mine would always talk about how great Ford cars are. He considered every Ford to be better than any of the competition.

I got so fed up with him banging on about it, that I hated Ford cars and would never ever think about buying one.

It took many years for me to realise that I shouldn't hate the product, but hate my friend instead.

I am always hearing people talking about how great oxygen is and how we need oxygen to survive and how oxygen is the most important thing to us. Oxygen, oxygen, oxygen!

I have decided to give it up and to be honest I am feeling much much bette...

Everything on Netflix, Sky and terrestrial TV is strawberry floating awesome. Its just brilliant, almost like you are in the same room.

Enjoy your books.

Which are also strawberry floating amazing - loads of words describing things. Enjoy rocking in your chair doing strawberry float all.

I was going to get rattled but it's just too popular a state of mind for me to even consider.

Edit: I guess rattled was too popular a word and you were wise to edit it out before we all started talking about it. Unfortunately seething is popular as well so you might want to find a different word that nobody else uses.

I'm sensing that showing distaste towards something popular is now becoming popular and I would like to reverse my initial opinions to show support for popular netflix shows.

I just realised that this thread has over 4000 posts. Way too popular for my liking. I am off to the Amazon Prime Video thread.

Speaking of Amazon, they just launched their video service in Ireland (and 200 other countries, apparently) yesterday.

Signed up for a 7-Day Trial. Man, the selection on there is so bad. About 8 TV Shows total and a piss poor selection of movies apart from one or two.

But on the plus side (The Grand Tour aside) nobody talks about them.

The Van Damme show on Amazon Prime is good fun. Shame it's just the pilot at the moment but I can't wait for the rest of the series.

I like the "Last man on earth" on prime. That's quite funny. Not too popular either.

Yeah Preacher is good.

Also there's the tv series where Nazi Germany and Japan won World War II. Seems to be popular.

Let's burn technology. It's too popular for us.

Even Grcade.

Please read the comics. I'm not gonna say they're better than the show, but they (that is, the first series and first trade paperback, both end in a similar fashion, with the crew departing Texas, but there are many, many differences along the way) are different enough to warrant a read even if you've seen the whole of the first series. Be careful. You don't want to put Mafro off.

I was about to read the comics but SoK has put me off with his constant begging for people to read them. :x

I bet Maf starts watching Stranger Things before the year is out.

...if he hasn't begun already.
