Yeah I wasn't expecting it to be so violent, loved the show but the ending was a little abrupt.

Yeah, I had no idea this was happening. I keep hearing about stuff and then considering watching, only to see it rated 1/5 and deciding to give it a miss.

I really don't like this as it means I am potentially missing out on good content.

I just spotted Asterix the Gaul and Asterix and the 12 Tasks are on Netflix, and thanks to their tailored recommendation rating algorithm, both are rightly predicted 5 stars.

Anyone else watching the OJ Simpson series that's been put up recently? I'm really enjoying it so far, about half way through now.

It's that the one with David Schwimmer? I caught it when it was originally broadcast and really enjoyed it.

I watched two episodes of Santa Clarita Diet last night as I love gory violence but I didn't really enjoy it very much. It's not very funny and the characters are mostly very annoying clichés. I will probably persevere anyway until season 2 of Hannibal finally makes it to Netflix.

The People Vs OJ seems good, though. :)

Yeah I'm not sure about SCD...I think I liked it, but I couldn't really tell you why.

It's certainly odd.

The tone of it is very light-hearted but it's just really badly performed. That tone clashes strangely with the extreme violence, even though I guess you could almost class it as cartoon violence.

The clash is surely intentional though...I'm just not sure it works...

It doesn't work because it's not funny I guess.

I haven't seen that in ages but she probably didn't even know what she was doing as she was probably at the height of her heroine use. In Santa Clarita Diet she is crap.

Finished off American Crime Story last week after twice failing to make through the iPlayer deadlines when it was shown on BBC last year. Somehow it manages to make something as well known as the OJ trial incredibly compelling television, mainly because the entire cast knocks the whole thing out of the park consistently.

Think I'll stick with iZombie for my not-actually-a-zombie dramady horror fix.
