We were asking for that to get updated for a long time. That used to be the case when UnblockUS was in beta, but it no longer applies. UnblockUS requires a subscription (or 1 week free trial) in order to work now.

Oh right okay thanks laga.

Once I used the free trial. Will my Xbox work all the time? Or do I need to subscribe to the service?

After the free trial you'll either need to subscribe, or do another free trial with a different e-mail address (though the latter may not work if your IP is static)

If you sign up to Playmo free trial and change your Xbox to their DNS settings, it will continue to work for free once the trial ends. It doesn't have the region switching option that unblock-us does, so you will only be able to access US and UK Netflix.

I recommend giving Lovefilm a go too. Their streaming service isn't amazing, but it does have some stuff that Netflix doesn't. Also, run through Quidco beforehand and they'll give you £15 for taking the free trial.

Lovefilm by miles.
I've been with them for over 5 years and never had a problem.

I very rarely use Lovefilms streaming service but their disc rental service is mainly great (except for the occasionally scratched/dirty disc and some films not being available on Bluray).
