I really do feel this is one of the best drama's on Netflx, it's a bit of a slow burner but after 2 episodes I couldn't help but want to watch the next episode.

I finished it today and almost didn't want it to end.

Fantastic show. I have to wonder if the show will have the same spark in Season 2 without Ben Mendelsohn but either way, very much looking forward to it.

Also worried about this. That was by far the best part of the first season.

Please only read if you've watched the whole show.

I don't know about anyone else but I kept at times feeling sorry for Danny then I would decide he has to go and then flip flop.

Although from the flashbacks I knew hes time was going to come to end before the end of the season the way he died still took me by surprise.

I couldn't help feel sorry for Danny after we got the full picture of how Sarah died and how everyone played a role in her death in some respect.

This was from a while back but some news about Season 2. Non-specific minor spoilers but still spoilers nonetheless.

Fans of Netflix’s dark family drama Bloodline might be surprised to learn Ben Mendelsohn, who plays black sheep Danny Rayburn, will be coming back for season two. And executive producer Glenn Kessler understands that surprise, seeing as how Danny was killed by his brother John (Kyle Chandler) at the end of season one. Speaking at the TCA press tour in Beverly Hills, Kessler explained that it was always the plan to keep Mendelsohn around for season two, Emmy nominations or no.

“The DNA of the show is such that the past is always with us. We’re going to learn more about Danny’s effect on the family and more about his past, and also what his effects are in the present day. There’s a very important story that we’re interested in telling that includes [Danny]…that was always part of the plan. When we first hired him, it was for more than the first season.”

Perhaps this means season two will be even more rife with flashbacks than the first one, as a way to give Mendelsohn some serious screen time. Then again, let’s not forget how Danny was haunted by his dead sister—perhaps John is due for some visits from the ghost of brothers past. Or maybe they’ll just dress up Mendelsohn in a white sheet and chains, and have him wander around the beachfront property, moaning. Yeah, probably that last one.

That's great news :)

I feel this show needs more love I was really surprised how much I enjoyed it, in some ways it's almost a show you can relate to if you have a close nit family.

Just finished watching this. Thought it was superb, quite engrossing throughout in spite of a few cliches here and there. Started off with a kind of Revenge / Harpers Island feel but turned that into something darker and more involving.

I'm interested to know how they will go with it from here though ; could have been a fantastic one season hit, and I can't quite see how they'll keep the tension beyond this point, but we'll definitely be tuning in to season two.

Also, Coach Eric Taylor is awesome.

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

You've sold me there. I loved Harper's, and S1 of Revenge was camp but very entertaining. I'll give bloodline a go.

Erm, this is nothing like Harper's Island or Revenge. This is serious slow-burn stuff.

Oh, yeah, Bloodline is a darker , more brooding sort of thing than either of those two. Apologies if I misled you! I just meant that the way Bloodline begins put me in mind of them in the sense of wealthy people gathering in lovely, seemingly idyllic place only for BAD THINGS to follow.

It's a great show, Bloodline - better than the other two I mentioned!

I completely forgot about this, I started watching it when it first released but it slipped by the wayside somehow. I enjoyed the two episodes watched, might try and get back to this before season 2 (but after I finish Daredevil and Person of Interest).

I echo the Coach Taylor is awesome sentiments, I remember it was a bit jarring to hear him swearing in this at first

I was kinda hoping this would have just ended after the first series, didn't really like the way it was left with the lead in to S2.

Saying that, I loved watching it and if what one of those spoilers says is correct, then I'll definitely give the next series a go.

Any other fans of the theme tune? Goes great with the visuals of the intro:

It was good but they were really stretching the story to even get it to last one season, so I'm not sure what they're going to do in s2
