Yeah, 18th February. Normally you have 1 week between brief and submission but I wanted to get the ball rolling on this tonight.

Damn. I read 18th March and thought I had ages. Best check to see if my pad is up to the job.

I'm glad you gave us a bit more time for this first Maker week, Cheeky. I've had a quick go and I've forgotten so much stuff about how the blocks work... I gotta get up to speed pretty sharpish!

I spent a bit of time this afternoon re-learning the blocks and how they work. It took a while for inspiration to strike but then I started to devise the course. It still needs work but it's coming along now :toot:

As a heads-up for other players, I'd recommend getting started on it - it's surprising how long it takes to re-acclimatise when you haven't built a course in the past year!

Can I just get a quick post from everyone so I know you're all still here. Been very quiet recently.

I'm here. Got started on my level last night. Not 100% sure what I'll end up making, but it's fun trying to come up with gameplay that fits the theme.

Just spent about 20 mins playing and making. So far its o............k. The right stick is still doing things when it wants but the buttons are behaving themselves. I shall carry on and hope its just going to make the process slightly irritating rather then soul destroying. I'll leave that feeling to you Devlin.

Jawa pointed it out and I fixed it quite quickly, but it seems some people didn't see the correction.

I've sent out a PM just incase anyone else hasn't seen it.

I was going to play around with the fans to try to make something this afternoon but I ended up playing Battlefront II (the new one) and enjoying it :shifty:

I'm tempted to dig out my 3DS and use that to experiment with ideas on the train home from work.

Good idea, Dragon. I don't know about you guys, but I find that it helps to "play around" with the blocks and, in time, a course idea can gradually be created from that.

I'm not sure if my course is gonna be a bit too easy... but I guess it doesn't matter as long as it's fun to play.

I'm still here - had a little play around this afternoon but wasn't feeling any great inspiration, so will try again later. Hopefully something will appear from the chaos!

Gonna get back to Makin' in a moment. I hope that inspiration strikes as I attempt to gel my ideas together!

Just a quick note that there won't be a stream tonight. Totally forgot I had stuff on. I'll try and do a retrospective stream during the week. Most likely Tuesday or Thurday night.
