Simple fix:

CD84-0000-0392-FBB1It's a sequence of chimneys starting 3-blocks wide and going all the way up to 5-blocks wide. It starts off easy and risk-free and gets just a little bit tricky towards the end.
Key things:
Wait until you see Mario start sliding down the wall before jumping. After you get the hang of that you can try jumping earlier.
Make sure you're pushing the d-pad/stick towards the wall you want to jump from.
Practice! Practice! Practice! You will get the hang of it!

EDIT: Wow! That seems to have done the trick! I'll go back to it if I lose the knack, but for now I seem to be able to do it!

I struggled for a while, Lime, but then built up the bulk of my course on Tuesday. However, I think it's just too easy to complete and I probably need to re-visit a couple of aspects and I hope to do that today or tomorrow.
The "One Screen" factor seems to introduce a surprising pressure. That's not a bad thing; it encourages us to think differently

I've submitted my level
I can't wait for Are You a Master Switch Mario Maker so that I can play and make new levels on the train. Creating something on the 3DS and then porting it felt like too much effort.

Thanks Jawa - yet again I'm trying to appeal to people's nostalgia!
I don't think I'll make the stream tonight (ridiculous early start tomorrow) but look forward to watching it tomorrow night.

It's possible to beat my level in under 5 seconds, it was designed to be allow shortcuts and I'm well aware there are multiple paths across.
