VenomUK wrote:I skipped this series because I'm cutting out (most) mindless reality shows. I watched on Monday. Bloody hell it was abysmal. You expect bad acts in the early rounds and that is part of the humour of it all, but these were the best of the best?

A beer-bellyied nerd wearing a Terminator mask singing some crap Karaoke.
A deaf old boy with his aesthetically-displeasing granddaughter singing an out of tune mashup.
A 17 year old lad who could play the piano fairly well but was nothing spectacular, and lacking in any charisma.
Two sisters who look like they have different fathers doing a series of (skillful) kicks in the most boring way. When they finished I could almost hear the audience thinking 'Is that it?'

The only act that mildly interested me was the group of dancing women who came on in lingerie dancing provocatively. When I saw the upfront qualities of the lead dancer I said 'Now she's got talent!'

EDIT: I done some research on your behalf and found this earlier audition...

Girl with the red hair, looks pretty different. Mollie from the Saturdays in there an all.

Am I the only one who thinks last night's magic act was strawberry floating awful? The performance was OK but I don't even see how it qualified as a genuine illusion! The woman got out the box in plenty of time for the man to jump in. I honestly fail to see where the illusion is.

Diversity, Spellbound have talent.... no one this year has gone out and made me think the world will want to watch this over and over on Youtube.

Yeah it's a very simple illusion but lots of people think that because the front of the lid is padlocked the woman cannot get out of the box. Obviously the lid still opens, she climbs out, he climbs in.

My main problem with the magician act is that both of their tricks have already been done on America's Got Talent (and numerous other shows), David Hasselhoff was even a judge for the one last night when it was done in America, so should have docked them marks for unoriginality.

Michael McIntyre almost saying Les Dennis.

McIntyre's been brilliant all week. And I actually rather liked the Bell Ringers, in a slightly eccentric kinda way. :shifty:

Yep. The standard seems to be getting worse every year since 2009 (Diversity, Flawless, etc).

The impression dude last year was way better than the guy this year but because the standard is so crap he stands out more. :fp:

Im not quite sure how I feel about the Autistic dancer. Are people voting for his dancing skills, or is he getting the pity vote because he has a mental disability? It's not fair on him as he will never really know.
