Terry Crews, the voice of Commander Jaxon, joins Xbox host Larry Hryb, writer Jon Goff, and members of the Crackdown development team from art, design and narrative to discuss the behind-the-scenes development of Crackdown 3. In addition, they reveal some exciting new Crackdown 3 news and answer fan questions.
Kinda, but it never showed off it's power, to be honest I thought it may be cancelled cos MS didn't seem happy with E3 response. There's actually too many games early next year.
Next year is going to be mental, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, This, Halo 6, F Horizon 4.
Weird. I presume MS see X as best place to play third party which it will be but honestly, as I said back at E3, PUBG is what I want most, they gonna market the s*** out of it and it's a preview program game.
I think Sea of Thieves will be given time to come out late 2018, or one of them will be, I just think SoT's as stunning as it is in Alpha has a ton of stuff that has to go into it, I mean the list of stuff they are adding according to their podcasts is huge and everything will have to be tested.
I didn't think Crackdown 3 was running all that well plus maybe cloudgen are running into problems. State of Decay should be ok for early 2018 though.
I do wonder what the legs on PUBG will be like, not on Xbox, just in general. I mean H1Z1 was a beast on steam until PUBG came along and still sometimes outsells PUBG in sales, and is regularly in the top 10. My point is, will PUBG be knocked off it's purch when the next battle royal game comes along?
Fingers crossed they'll have it looking better with time, I still think it had the core crackdown orb gameplay, maybe it needs more optimization, the Framerate looked really bad but couldnt tell if it was how it was captured as no one really mentioned it.

I've been buying a lot of 360 titles recently (games I'd previously owned, and games I never got around to trying). What's Crackdown 2 like? I quite enjoyed the first, but never took up the sequel.

It's not as good as the first but its not as bad as people made out at the time. The clearing out of the infected was laborious but 4 player co-op meant the chaos was increased.
I wonder if its hard to have up to 4 different studios working on a single game?
Cloudgine, Ruffian, Reagent and Sumo Digital are doing this, maybe the extra time is to harmonize it all.

It was made by a different team than the first game and wasn't anywhere near as good.
I loved Crackdown 2, and in moving the focus away from the horrible driving of the first game they massively improved it. It's a shame they used almost the exact same map as the first game, but there's plenty there to keep you occupied, especially if you have a team of people to mess around with.
