My turn to work this weekend, on the up it gives me a couple of quiet days off in the week for some gaming.

CoD 4 MW Remastered. Campaign. (PS4)

It's a lot harder than I remember, certainly more than the other CoD games that followed it. Had to lower the difficulty to Regular and even then only a few precise enemy shots can put you in serious trouble. Great campaign though, with some excellent set pieces and truly memorable characters.

It's not as bad as other areas but yeah. Enjoy walking through the darkness.

Read a guide for bonfire locations. Honestly.

Wizardry 8. PC

Classic old school RPG. Gameplay and interface felt a little twitchy at first, but once I readjusted my approach to a more old school way of thinking - ie Might & Magic etal- everything soon slotted into place. Damn good game, but not an easy one. Tactics and forward planning are key to success.

Assassin's Creed. Xbox One

Was pleased to discover this was a back catalogue title. Been playing it most this afternoon. One of my favourites in the AC franchise and, for my money, criminally underrated. Gameplay in AC feels a lot more simplistic than those that followed it, however the more stripped back approach is to the games strength I feel. Sure a bit clunky in some areas, (aren't all AC games?), but enjoyable nonetheless.

I like the first AC, it's just repetitive as hell. 2 improves on it so much

True, but again aren't all AC games a tad repetitive?

Anyway, AC, AC 2, Brotherhood and Black Flag are my personal favourites. I have Syndicate, (recommend by a friend), as yet unplayed. Will play a bit more of AC before I try Syndicate.

Don't think I'll be buying any new games for a while. :)

Wow, that's a blast from the past. I remember getting that at launch, didn't really get on with it at the time. Might and Magic 6 though, I absolutely loved that game.

M&M 6 was good, although number 7 (For Blood & Honor) is my favourite.

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens on PS3. I have finished the main campaign but only have a 29% completion score... there seems to be an awful lot of extra stuff to do even by Lego series standards.

This seems pretty underrated as far as REs go, it's shaping up to be my favourite TPS in the series outside of 4 (obviously). It's still a bit more linear than I'd like, but the atmosphere and pacing are more on point in terms of what I want out of RE. Barry Burton's inclusion certainly helps \m/

Nearing the end of chapter 2, hope it doesn't run out of steam by the end; at least from what I've played I'm surprised it gets so overlooked.

I loved Revelations 2. The episodic hook worked really well too. I was discussing it with friends the same way we would a weekly TV show. Since the episodes came out so close together it made the entire thing feel like an intense mini-series.

Just started Lords of the Fallen that was a freebie on PSN. So far, not too bad, a kind of Dark Souls lite with free screen tearing.

Yes?

Dipped back into Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition the other day and haven't been able to stop playing it since then. Its a great ARPG that despite its age still plays really well, the Greek and Egyptian mythological setting really suits this kind of game too.

Been playing Borderlands with Jazzem, which I'm enjoying more than he seems to be.

Then there's Broforce, which I'm playing with The Watching Artist, Jazzem and a fellow streamer. We beat it on normal and are now going through it on hard. So. Much. Fun.

I've also be been enjoying SteamWorld Dig 2, not sure how I feel it compares to the first, the first was a genuine surprise hit, where as this isn't as I expected a good game.

Also started Resident Evil 7 last night. I like it. Wish it was VR on PC and that I had a VR headset. Would love to try it. It seemed to make TWA jump more than me though...

There's more that I'm playing, but that'll do for now.

Arkham Origins. Kinda runs bad on my PC, whereas City was flawless in that regard.

Still a fun game. Just did the boat section.

Ah ace! That must've been fun, kinda sad I missed out on that week by week experience.

I'm guessing the Barry's at the island six months later stinger at the end of ep1 was a big talking point amongst you and friends :P

Have you got Physx on? I have to turn that off in all the Arkham games for smooth performance, though mileage may vary depending on version of Windows + graphics card. It wouldn't play nice with me on W10 and a GTX 960, but I remember the topic coming up before on here where other folks had no such problems.

Even then, sadly Origins is pretty glitchy no matter where or how you play it, it crashed on me a fair few times. Shame as I otherwise love the game and think it's unfairly dismissed as a lesser entry because of its spinoff status.

At the moment...

PES 2018 (PS4) - still playing Online Divisions exclusively. I am getting a little frustrated at how over-powered the top teams are. It’s probably realistic but it’s annoying when you dominate the play but then they score three times from just three shots. Don’t get me wrong, though... this is still hugely addictive and in the running for my choice as GOTY.

Lego Worlds (Switch) - every time I talk about this I find that the word “clunky” suits it so well. It is fun and great for quick-fire sessions, but I’ve played it for over twenty hours and I still don’t get how some things work, such as the data information for planets which isn’t explained at all. I always enjoy pottering around in it, though, and, after Mario Kart, this is my most-played game on the Switch!

Wanker. I'm guessing the reason for no Pedz stream tonight is that it scared him way too much. :shifty:
