Got Persona 5 at the start of January and gradually been getting through it. Only just after the second dungeon but loving everything about it so far. Just need more time to actually play it.

I played a little more of Titan Quest today, I think I’m nearing the end of the third act now. The last area I played through really pushed my humble laptop to it’s limits.

Currently broken free of Skyrim, now playing Zelda on Switch (which I've only put about 10 hours into so far), maybe I'll finally pop in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 at some point in the near future. Still got Yooka Laylee to play as well.

Edit, getting a strange glitch on Zelda, seems to be no voice acting or sounds, just got to Impa and she's not speaking over the cutscene and whenever I get a Korok seed they aren't making their little noise either. Anyone else finding this?

Warframe - PC

It's a massive, deep and visually appealing game, but I have almost no idea what I'm doing, why, what to do next or how to do it, which is made doubly worse by other players steamrolling ahead and I either die or just follow behind and pick up the pieces.

That's odd... I was only looking into this last night, Trelliz. By most accounts it seems that the game has been improved a ton since launch and it is now pretty popular. Trying to find out more, I discovered this info:

> Beginners guide series (2018) - click
> Warframe review (2017) - click

It sounds really positive and I'm gonna download this for PS4 later.

Tl;dr genuinely free to start/play; looks good; tons of in-depth customisation; can be hard to get into but, if you like the grind action, it's great.

Don't get me wrong jawa, I've played it for 50+ hours already over several years and it has come along in huge leaps and bounds, but it's really bad at giving you a clear direction or explaining its myriad systems, especially if you've just come back after a long break. I've spent some real money in the past and have a decent selection of frames and weapons, but it can be very difficult to know what to do to make progress rather than doing missions for the sake of them.

This weekend I've been mainly switching between Warriors All_Stars, Ishar 2 and M&7: For Blood & Honour.

I’m close to calling it a day in Titan Quest. I’ve reached the boss at the end of Act 3 and he’s strawberry floating ridiculous, virtually everything he does kills me in one hit while I can barely scratch him. I’m led to believe I need to level up a little more before facing him but battling the same monsters over and over again is getting really tedious now.

To make matters worse I hear the fourth act is even worse :dread:

A lot of these older ARPG and CRPG games are nails. I've only briefly played Titan Quest, (seem pretty good), but returning to M&M 7 I've been quickly reminded of how nails it is. Had to head off leveling up before revisiting The Barrow Downs. The undead are solid and riddled with disease etc and it's only the third main quest!

Edit, found why I was missing some sounds on BoTW, it's to do with the sound settings, doesn't like it when set to surround, set it to automatic and I'm all good now :)

That sounds about right, I gave up on Diablo 2 years ago as after a certain point it seemed to get brutally difficult.

F1 Race Stars
One more championship to do in this. There are some time trial bits to do as well, but I'm not overly fussed. Decent kart racer though, with all the pros and cons that go with the genre.

Xenoblade Chronicles
Still plugging away at this. I'm about 55 hours in now. Still a ludicrous amount of side-quests, which I feel a need to tick off (at least the timed ones) before progressing. I'm still enjoying it on the whole though, which given how much time I've put in, is a good sign.

Left 4 Dead 2
Just started this. Seems to be a lot of stuff in the single-player mode, not fussed about the multiplayer side. Good fun though so far.

L4D2 is more fun in multiplayer. What are you playing on?

Yes?

Monster Hunter World Definitely a weird game but one I'm starting to really enjoy. I like heading out to hunt some monsters on my own but I'm still a beginner noob. A few of the things go over my head. It's a blast with others though.

Rocket League Qualified this season in 3 v 3 as a second tier platinum, no idea how I did it really, I do tend to stay in goal a lot though.

PUBG Back to FPP but the problem with FPP is generally the skill levels are far higher than TPP. That said, we mullered 3 other duo's in about 5mins in apartments by the school last night.

Overwatch Completed the seasons qualifiers and ill play tonight to see if it matters to matchmaking.

Spotify and gaming, I love listening to music while I game but I can only really play Rocket League and Overwatch with music as other games need you to hear where things are online. That said I have music low when playing OW, but its at full blast in RL, it does mean that I play RL an awful lot tho.

Been getting back into Hotline Miami lately, forgot how difficult it and the sequel were when you’ve not got into the ‘zone’ for it hah.

Been giving Thousand Year Door a whirl too, never got more than half way through last time I played it so I’m going into the later game completely fresh and I’m really enjoying it.

It has lots of absolutely cracking music tracks, too. Great fun so far.

Remember you mentioning this on Discord, glad you're enjoying :toot: I'm fancying a 2D platformer on Switch myself, so maybe...

Played the first one last year, keep meaning to buy the second one. It was pretty good, didn't really like the boss fights though.

I'm playing Prey now. I'm not that far into it. Just got the main characters office. Seems like a bit of a headfuck. It's very Bioshock.

Old Prey or new Prey? I've not played the new one but I loved the old and I think it's one of the most underrated FPS games ever.

The second is better and worse in many ways... if I were to introduce someone to the series, I’d definitely recommend 1 over 2, but 2 definitely improves on a lot - more variety, little bit more fluid gameplay, more story etc

Problem I had with the second is the amount of BS that gets you killed, like off screen enemies etc, HM1 doesn’t have screens quite that big for it to matter but it’s more obvious in 2. Good news is that, as far as I remember anyway, 2 doesn’t have any boss fights lol

I've only played a little bit but it does seem pretty neat, Jazzem - and the free expansion Blackbird's Kraken arrives on 22 February!
