So I beat the boss I was stuck on in Titan Quest. I barely made it through though and I majorly cheesed him. Next area seems okay thus far but I hear it gets much worse very soon.

Warframe is clicking better now, after some more time with it I can see how they've improved the player signposting a lot and made some previously obtuse systems easier to understand.

OneChanBara Z2 Chaos.

Returned to this to complete more missions and attempt to garner a "V" rating on every section of every chapter in the story mode.

RiME

About to start into chapter 3. So far, it's like a puzzle only Zelda crossed with Journey. Enjoying it, tis quite relaxing; genteel and not too taxing.

Just deleted Overwatch from my PS4. After going from 10pm to 4am winning a grand total of three games, and opening nine lootboxes and getting a grand total of one purple item (everything else was white or blue), my frustration has reached a boiling point and I'm done subjecting myself to it.

I think I'm gonna start Valkyria Chronicles next.

Downloaded RiME the other day as it's currently free on PSPlus, it's very pretty, though some of the later areas are so dark it's actually pretty difficult to see anything.

If you don't know the game, here's a look at my first few mins of gameplay...

Booted up Forza Horizon 2 for the first time in a while, and I think it'll be my main XB1 game until The Crew 2 finally releases. Well, unless I fancy trying something else from Game Pass.

I decided to give Rime a go too. I’m enjoying it thus far but I have found one puzzle I had to look up the solution to... it involved shadows and I would never have figured out that you are meant to be the third shadow.

Star Trek Adversaries - PC

I only heard about this on Totalbiscuit's podcast, but it is essentially Star Trek Hearthstone with cool 3d models, the ability to play crew cards on each ship and you can retreat ships back to your hand and get their energy cost back:

It's currently in beta testing so you get a wedge of free currencies which will apparently stay after it launches. Weirdly they haven't been promoting this at all, apparently, which is a shame as I quite like it.

Worms 2 : Armageddon (PS3)

Campaign # 34

My team consists of two worms with one health each.

The enemy team consists of 11 worms with 100 health each.

This is going to be such a joy to play over the next few hours. Can’t wait

Might & Magic 7 for a few hours this evening. My characters are getting quite tough now, well in so much that low to mid level monsters aren't a problem and harder monsters can be dealt with if I play carefully and there isn't a great deal of them attacking my group in one go.

Will choose something a little less taxing to play for Sunday's gaming.

I have just started playing Fifa 18 after seeing it cheap (£22.00) in Tesco, I have had the game on the Xbox One since launch in September (I buy Fifa every year and have done since it started in 1993) I have played many hours of Fifa 18 on the Xbox and I’m not trying to compare the two because obviously visually the Switch version can’t compare especially with me playing it on a Xbox One X, I have also noticed that modes such as the Alex Hunter story mode are missing and certain features like the recommended sub feature when playing a game

Image

After saying all that the main difference and selling point is that the Switch version is portable, I have had Fifa for the Vita and 3DS and compared to them the Switch version is far far superior, my favourite mode in Fifa is the FUT mode, on the Xbox I always buy the premium version so that I get the FUT gold packs every week and because I always buy it for Xbox my coins carry over plus I get bonus loyalty points etc making the building of my FUT easier and in a strange way I’m looking forward on the Switch for the challenge of starting from scratch, I played my first FUT match and it went rather well (it’s season 10!so easy setting hence the score)

Image

I was very pleased with how the layout of the pro controller is so similar to that of the Xbox making it easy for me to go from one to the other without confusion or annoyance, I really hope EA stick with the Switch and we get Fifa 19 and beyond, I will be getting both versions in future, just hope it’s not like the Wii U where we got Fifa 13 and that was it or even worse like the 3DS, Vita, PS3, Xbox 360 where it’s the same game every year with just updated players and kits

If anyone wants to add me my friend code is

:o . That's quite a record, Richard! I also bought the early versions on the Mega Drive. Although the games are not "valuable" in a monetary way, it must be great to have a complete set from 1993 to date.

Just done the first boss on island 3 of Cuphead on the harder level. Felt like giving up on the game because there is too much randomness in the attack patterns meaning sometimes you get an "easier" (i.e. still strawberry floating difficult) ride and other times it can be utterly unfair as you get boxed in with nowhere to go thanks to the poor design of the large character and small screen.

It was raining yesterday and misty outside and it reminded me of Skyrim so I jumped into that, I hadn't played in a while and I was outside one of those underground elvish places, in I went cos I had to get some sword back or something. I made my way on and took out some bandits, then the falmer, all with a bow but at end I was confronted with a big gold robot thing that absolutely battered me.

Went from that to the Witcher and spent ages just looking at scenery before knuckling down to a vampire quest. It was a long quest line, did several quests leading up to this final part so knew it'd be hard. It was recommended for Level 39 and I'm at 42 but it was still rock hard. Eventually did it though.

After that I played some AC Origins, my god this game is gorgeous, I mean really REALLY gorgeous. Every time I play it I see something jaw dropping, I can't believe what I'm seeing sometimes. The animation is also top notch, Bayek looks and behaves excellently and as a character I really like the guy.

Neon Drive
Nice little rhythm action game. I love the overall aesthetic, with the stylised visuals and electronic/synth soundtrack. Very 'new retrowave'. It's great when you get in the zone as well and are almost on autopilot. Had a great/bizarre moment last night when I was just coasting through this really difficult section, very aware of how close I was to messing it up, and it felt like I was watching myself playing, will myself not to strawberry float it up. And I didn't. :datass:. It's tough for sure, but not impossible. Well-worth checking out for those who like games of this ilk. I think it's on sale on Steam at the moment.

Little Nightmares - PC

Finally got round to starting this and its great. Normally I turn off things like depth of field but it really helps this game's aesthetic - its like playing some weird European animated film from the mid 1980s that was ostensibly for children but is creepy as hell. My only concern is that the story is pretty thin so far, most of what I know about what is going on comes from the description on steam, but then I guess this is about experiences and mystery (that long-armed blind creepy bastard with what looks like a rolled-down face in chapter 2 :dread:). It is a bit trial and error, but the checkpoints are quite generous and it reloads quickly.

Also just saw the last dlc chapter is out this week, so it was a good time to get in now.

EDIT: my girlfriend has asked I don't play it when she's around as the combination of music and noises is like "the soundtrack to a headache".

Just put an hour into Shadow of The Colossus and, whilst it looks the nuts, by crikey does it control like absolute dogshit.
