Dead Cells

Made it all the way to the Right Hand of the King. Meaning I sucessfully completed a number of stages and mid-level boss fights on my first attempt :toot: 8-) And then died a legit 16bit death. (Fell onto spikes.)

Getting paid to play video games. :D

The thing is though, reading or doing a crossword probably gets a free pass but you just know some twat will end up complaining about staff "playing computer games instead of working".

Probably, and by some twat who sits around playing Candy Crush on their mobile phone because "that's different".

The day porters, (my shift) are cool though and don't blab. We tend to stick together. They know I'm a gamer (helped a few of them out with their own systems and their children's. Sold my spare PS3 to one for his son the other week as it happens), in fact a couple stopped to have a look at what I was playing today. One, (Martin), thought it was ace I had Resident Evil 1, 2 & 3 in my hand. 8-)

We had something like that once at my work. We had some national IT issues where all of our systems went down for an entire day but they were refusing to send people home. People were sat about reading, listening to music and such but I got pulled up for getting my PSP out.

I've had 'odd looks' from people at work when I've gotten the PSP out in the past, like I'm too old for it or something. The irony being is they play games on their phone, but because it's a phone it's clearly for adults. :fp:

My approach? strawberry float 'em.

I finally beat Crash 1 :D

Now onto Crash 2, it's loads easier to start with at least. 6 levels down in no time, even bleeding Ripper Roo went down easily.

Maybe they're just wondering why you don't have a Vita instead

Can't say I've ever been all that impressed with the Vita.

Midway through the 9S section of Nier: Automata

Loving the game as I expected I would, but after doing minimal side-quests on the first playthrough I've been doing a lot of them second time around. Having only a few hours a week to play games means I usually just zip through the main game, but these side quests seem to balance between feeling like I'm wasting my time on tedious fetch quests and loving the dialogue from the robots as well as a slightly better insight into the world.

Finished the story on Shadow of Mordor. Think it's probably the game's weakest aspect, the antagonists have basically no presence because all the focus gets put on captains and warchiefs instead. Sauron turning up was pretty cool, but reducing the final boss fight to three QTEs dulled it down a lot, and there was no explanation for who exactly the Black Hand was either.
Still, it's been a fun ride and I'm probably going to try and 100% it. Got all the bonus challenges to do now as well so I'll give them a try too.

Mordor was a superb game but it's final boss was one of the biggest disappointments gaming moments of this generation, all that build up for a bloody QTE.

Anyway going through more of Xenoblade Torna and I'm really enjoying much more than the base game.

The final boss is a QTE?

That's amazing, I thought those days were long gone

Playing FH3 with my youngest daughter, Lucy, (the elder, Molly, is on a camping trip with Girl Guides). Lucy is currently blasting around in a 90`s Skyline I bought, giggling like a good un. Yep, I think she likes FH3. :D

*edit* She accidentally stumbled across a barn find. 8-)

Turok Dinosaur Hunter - Xbox One - bought the double pack of this and the sequel today. Always loved the series and it was my second game on the N64. It's been polished a bit and retains the same great game play and great weapons. Just a very fun and exciting game. Can't wait to finish it to jump into the much improved sequel.

Wish my image sig would work

Brilliant games. I bought both for PC a while back. I love that you can get completely lost as opposed to being forced down a singular path. Something you don't see in modern FPS titles.

Yeah the old school PC style world is huge and so easy to get lost in. Probably the best selection of weapons in a first person game. Also the way you have to find all the bits for the super weapons is really cool.

Cheat menu is a nice little addition too.

The music is superb as well, particularly in the sequel.

Crash 2, now upto the boss of level 4, Dr N Gin or something like that. Tried it a few times before calling it a day. Started to get on my nerves, normally the bosses are quite quick paced but this seems on the slower side? Mainly the first stage which seems to go on for ever! Not got past stage 2 yet.....

Trying Outlast again.

I understand the premise, but it's more than a bit unbelievable that you can't even pick up a bottle or a lump of wood to twat someone over the head with. If you can only run and hide then a better control scheme is needed as this one is a bit clunky.

I didn't like it. Especially the bits where it's too hard to see strawberry floating anything. That isn't scary, it's just annoying as strawberry float.
