This was a surprise PS+ hit playing this over a friend's house, a great 'multiplayer' game in terms of other people present offering solutions :)

I remember it getting pretty tough quite quickly too, you far into it Jawa?

Funny timing; you aware of this?

I wasn’t but that looks pretty sweet. Since there’s no mention of Nintendo anywhere I assume it’s a bootleg, right? Anyhoo I got done with Super Mario Land 2 this afternoon and I’ve moved on to Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3.

Wario Land is superb, probably my 2nd favourite Gameboy game, my favourite being Tetris.

Metal Gear Solid 4 (The boss extreme mode)

Currently getting a beating from that slimy scumbag Ocelot.

Managed to get him in his second form (wtf is this?. Dragon ball?.) and he pulls out his little fanny Roman Reigns superman punch & it takes a HUGE chunk of your health off.
Probably is me but the controls feel a tad unresponsive as well. There are more response in Donald Trumps brain than the controls in this menace of a fight.

The annoying son of a bitch.

I am up to about stage 21 so far, Jazzem. I like how some enemies bring certain requirements to your word battling i.e. some of them only take damage from words containing a "Q" or from words with a double letter such as "runner". It can be pretty tricky but I'm really enjoying it :-).

After polishing off Wario Land I’m on to Wario Land II now. I wasn’t enjoying it that much at first but it’s starting to grow on me. The multiple paths with multiple endings approach is certainly interesting.

Got Persona 3 FES on my PS3, I want to actually beat P3 once in my life so it'll be something I work on over the time with some breaks every now and then.

I managed to get to floor 10 on second visit, which isn't too bad. I do need to gain a level or two though so I'll see about doing that, while taking any chances to improve my academic rank.

Yeah I am, though I'll hop on before New year's event finished. I'm still subbed though so I can dip in and play but it ate so much of my time on top of stuff happening there, I've been playing other games lately

Yeah, MMOs can be pretty time-consuming! I got back into the game in the summer but then wandered away again. It was great fun, though, and I plan to return to it once I have got Fallout 3 out of my system.

I've just bought the Remastered original on PC and am already addicted to it.

Best word I've managed so far is inquisitor.

Infamous: Second Son - PS4

Thought i'd give this a spin as I've had it for ages and also want to eventually make space for AssCreed Origins and HZD. I'm enjoying it so far, I enjoyed the first but never played the second for some reason, but this is alright. It looks great with good motion capture and plays like a fairly standard open world game with an area capture/liberation framework.

Even though we're only 9 days into 2018, this plan of mine to only buy three new games this year has really got me looking through my back catalogue.

Fired up Just Cause 2 (PC). Only briefly played it about a year or so ago so pretty much near the beginning of the game. Unbelievable that I put it to one side for so long, it's fabulous fun and is a real looker to boot.

One of my favourite games from the last generation. I've got it on 360 and put so much time into it. Took my by surprise in that it kinda came out of nowhere, but it was so much fun. Even after completing the story I kept going back to it time and time again trying to get the different upgrades and other collectables, or just messing around. Enjoy!

Had a few more sessions on Fez. Ehh, it's okay. Starting to get annoying when I see somewhere I want to go on the map but can't figure out how to get there. Feels like it's being deliberately obtuse most of the time as well. Might keep going with it, and see how much frustration I can take. :slol:

Also been playing F1 All Stars. Picked it up cheap ages ago. It's not bad. It's got all the typical kart-racer stuff - cheating AI, cheap items, horrendous rubber-banding - but you get used to them and it's a decent distraction when you want a quick blast on something.

Just Cause 2 was awesome. It has some flaws but I loved it a lot. The map was full of stuff to blow the crap out of.

Just Cause 2 is certainly rough around the edges gameplay wise, and it's as dumb as a bag of bricks at times, but it's immensely playable and bags of fun. Glad I decided to begin appreciating my back catalogue and take another look at JC2.

Elite Dangerous - PS4

I can understand why some folks dismiss it as boring, but personally I think I'll be spending much of the foreseeable future on this one.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.
