Be careful. I barely surfaced for air after buying that. Very different to the predecessors, but a joy to play...and also one of the most beautiful games I've seen. I used to spend ages pausing it and taking in-game photos of various impossibly-pretty landscapes. And squatting on naked statues.

Inside.

So disappointed. I absolutely loved Limbo but this is just too trial and error, too much up its own arse. Within twenty minutes I was resorting to a walkthrough. I admit I have a soft-spot for style over substance but here there is very little substance, it is mostly, tedious, style. Haven't powered up my Switch for months. It's a bit cooler tonight, thought I'd play... But there's very little play really and a lot of death 'you should have seen coming', (if you are psychic). Like I say, big fan of Limbo, hoped for something on a par, universal rave reviews, personally finding it to be shite. No longer really care re the character I am supposed to be looking after; he's just a cypher in a rubbish, cliched world. (Glad to get that of my chest!) Will no doubt play some more tomorrow, (I've paid for it....), but I already feel the whole thing is rancid so why bother...

I found Inside far less obtuse than Limbo. I haven't played since release but can you give us a clue what you couldn't figure out.

I preferred Inside to Limbo but wasn't overly keen on either. Inside needs to be played just to see the "WTF?" ending.

Streets of Rage Remake (PC) - honestly one the greatest things ever made. Shame it was never officially endorsed and released!

Also some Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 Venus for the Vita. Perfect chillout game.

Persona 3 Portable - played it before but never finished it, 2nd time round and I'm enjoying it all over again.

Still plugging away at Ass Creed Rogue Remastered. The story and characters are shite. I kinda weirdly enjoy the grind of the gameplay though, getting resources to get unlockables for your character and ship. But I'm hoping to have it completed within the next 2 weeks.

Also started to play Crypt of the Necrodancer on PC. Pretty good idea this. Made it to the second floor, I've yet to beat that one. Looking forward to putting more time into it.

Just played (and finished) A Way Out (PS4). Adored it.
It's quite short (about six hours), the gameplay is fairly simple and the graphics are impressive but nothing that will blow anyone away, but it's easily the best game I've played all year. It's entirely co-op, and I'd love to see more games made this way. Brilliant fun from start to finish, highly recommended.

Also playing some Hidden Agenda and Danganronpa V3, really looking forward to getting stuck into the latter. Ready to start Mario Odyssey too. :toot:

Hand of Fate 2. Really enjoying it. A great balance of skill, strategy, observation and RNG. The last one can be annoying though ....
Each quest feels so different to the last, which seems unlikely on the face of it, but is a tribute to the effort poured into the game. Strong recommendation if it looks interesting to you.

About to move into Day 5 and the third area. Pretty ace so far, these games are so enjoyable.

Had a rare moment today where I was starting to believe that I suck at this game. It took me almost two hours to complete one of the caves on level 2, I just kept screwing up and losing too many pikmin which meant reloading that sub-level. Got to the end and finished it eventually with 50-odd pikmin intact.

The game is always fun though, I think I've exceeded 10 hours on the clock and I'm also well on the way to fulfilling the monetary target.

I've finally managed to clear everything on the third level but not without a couple of annoying things happening.

On the penultimate level of one cave, I lured out one of the massive ladybug enemies with one leader as bait, ready to pounce with a squad of purples with Olimar from behind. Just as I approached from the rear, my wavebird decided to not respond for a few seconds which resulted in me losing half of my purple pikmin. :|

Also, the cave with the Waterwraith. I really enjoy taking my time through the caves and coming up with strategies to limit the loss of any pikmin. I didn't appreciate the time limit but thankfully it was only five sub-levels long.

Currently enjoying the excellent Yakuza 0.

If you don't already have it, you should try and get hold of a copy as it's now £15 as part of the PS Hits range.

Playing Tekken 7 at the moment as it's free over the weekend (and a fairly easy completion, obviously). You know what makes a great fighting game? Really massive strawberry floating loading screens. :fp:

This week I played Mario Kart (Switch) for an hour or so on Kart Monday, a little bit of Animal Crossing (3DS) and a couple of hours of PES 2018 (PS4). Not much, really; I think the uncomfortable heat is putting me off playing games.

I would like to get back to Mo Man's Sky (PS4) at some point this weekend. Maybe OnRush (PS4), too.

Been away on holiday all well and didn’t bother to pack my switch, which is gathering dust (or would be if it wasn’t in its tidy case)

I have a huge catalogue of games to complete like yakuza 6, horizon zero dawn, god of war, okami hd, tomb raider definitive plus others. I think my main focus in the coming weeks is to complete god of war, then move on to shenmue and leave yakuza 6 in the background. Yakuza 2 looks pretty awesome, so theres that and i have forgotten the story from the ps2 days, so should be like a new game.

I’ve spent a stupid amount of time on dark souls remastered and then dark souls 2, which i still need to go back to complete the dlc, but it seems really hard!

I want to restrict my gaming to the weekends as i am wasting far too much time in the mornings playing.

Still "working" through Prey. I'm near the end but each mission that feels like it is the last one spawns another.....

Xenoblade Chronicles - Death by Sidequest
I'm at level 99 now, and just tidying up some final quests. I've fully restored Colony 6, and apart from some of the high-level bosses, I think I've pretty much done everything. Might even finish it all this weekend.

I've played PES 2018 (PS4) and No Man's Sky (PS4) today. I've kicked Real butt and built a homestead... what a tremendous time!

Moved onto the final level today. Got 4 of the final 5 open world treasures and am well in the way with farming the requisite number of purple pikmin to get the last one. I've located all three caves as well so I'll probably make a run at one tomorrow.
