Girlfriend went back to France for a few weeks over the weekend, so got myself back on the Titanfall 2 train. It's so good. I'd forgotten how addictive it can be and I spent the majority of Monday on there, finally hitting level 50 and Regenerating. Losing all my progress actually made it better, forcing me to use weapons and Titans I'd otherwise avoid.

Once again, I'm hooked/

Continuing to rack up the hours in Monster Hunter Freedom Unite along with Stardew Valley on PS4. I've always had an odd relationship with Harvest Moon games, I've bought many but never really got drawn in to them (I bought the Gamecube one at least twice). But this might be the one that snags me.

If you need a pointer on getting into the game, Rex, it could be worth checking out Pedz' gameplay vids; he made quite a few in the series:

Still Crash Bandicoot 3. I've finished all the main levels and I've now hit the point where the frustration kicks in as I need to beat the time trials and collect all the gems I missed. The time trials in particular are really pissing me off.

Stardew Valley on PS4, I'm glad i got this alongside kingdom hearts 1.5+2.5 for PS4 when I was out shopping with my boyfriend yesterday, onto 11th day of spring.

Not doing amazing but doesn't really matter as it's great game to relax.

Dovetail Games Euro Fishing (PS4 version)

My older brother's a lifelong angler (he used to write for a couple of major UK-based Carp magazines and has published a couple of books on fishing), but somehow I could never get enthusiastic about the pastime - despite his very best efforts. Still, at just £16 I figured I'd give this a go and try and get my head around the subject. Graphically, it's hard to tell this is an Unreal engine game (it is) - it's pretty lacklustre, but mechanically (the actual business of fishing) it seems to do rather better. Relaxing, tranquil at times, it's a game that pretty much does what it says on the tin - but really not a lot more.

Anyway, here's a guy called 'Big Bug' - who is perfectly representative of the fishing folk I've met over the years through my brother - to tell you all about it...

His videos are actually pretty informative and you can really tell this is a guy who lives, eats, breathes the fishing world.

I would have carried on with doing that for much longer if I hadn't lost my data moving from my laptop to my PC :(

Akuji the Heartless for PS1 on PS3. I've had this for a while, it's one of those games I always liked the look of when I was a kid but never played. One level in and it's decent enough but it hasn't aged very well.

Metal Gear Solid 2 - VR Missions (Snake - variety mode level 4).

After several days of taking a plundering, I finally cracked it. You have to take out 26 enemies & stop them from approaching Meryl. Sound easy but it's not.You have to snipe them from afar & there are various sized walls & blocks which they can hide behind. They also like to play peekaboo  :fp:

Well surely it can't get any harder...

Mega Man on NES. I've beaten this before on Wii U with pretty liberal use of save states. If I had the time and the patience I could probably beat this legit as I don't have too much trouble with most of the stages but the Ice Man stage is a nightmare.

Let's

Right now it's kinda annoying for me but I've worked out best way to do it so I'll be fishing a lot more.

I'm now on summer month and have set myself up for massive farming, but i might have to get something to eat or two to keep my energy levels high...

I'm pretty sure this game is the anti fun. The sequels are so much of an improvement, it is startling.

Yeah, I'm playing 2 now and it's an incredible improvement, I found a lot at the first one nigh impossible without using the pause glitch on bosses. I beat 2 on an actual NES as a kid so I'm confident I can still beat it without save states.

EDIT: Well I've made it up to the third Wily stage using only password saves and not continuing. It's a bit of a pain that your weapon energy doesn't refil between these stages and that the password only covers the first 8 bosses being defeated.

I prefer 3 to 2. They really nail the physics, the music is godly and I find the level design much better. Plus you can cheese the game with Rush jet :slol:

There's a bit in 2 that I just can't understand. It's that wall boss where you have to use crash bombs in an exact order, if you don't, you can only kill yourself and return to the last checkpoint. Very, very stupid design.

Lightning Returns
Yeah, it's not great is it. I'm about 5 hours in, and it just feels so boring. I actually enjoyed the first two games, but the changes in this (battle system, the clock, etc) don't do anything for me and if anything make it less enjoyable. I kinda feel obliged to finish it as I've played through the rest of the trilogy, and I do want to see how it all ends, but it's gonna be a slog to get there. I'm hoping I can just do the bare minimum and blitz through, but the need to do quests to extend the clock and such makes me think that might not be as straightforward as I'd hoped.

Back to playing Splunky. It's soooo good. I suck at it though, I don't have the patience to keep being careful for the whole run. As soon as you screw up once it's basically game over. Especially in the later levels.

Dynasty Warriors PS4 - ambition mode - wow, I love this. Same old dynasty warriors but with base bulding up and loads and loads of weapons, plus a new secondary weapon. It's such a simple and fun game. The risk reward of one more battle before returning to the base is brilliant.

Wish my image sig would work

Robo Recall on PC - Absolutely brilliant fun, definitely one of the most impressive VR games I've played. Totally immersive and it both looks gorgeous and has a fantastic sense of humour too. You can pick enemies bullets out of the air and throw them back at them for crying out loud, it's just great!

After finishing Megaman 1 and 2 over the last few days I've started number 3 now. Two robot masters down and I'm enjoying it thus far however the controls seem a bit off in this one like they aren't quite as responsive as you need them to be. This is really evident in the Topman fight where you have to quickly turn around to shoot him after jumping his dash attack but before he launches spinning tops at you Megaman just doesn't turn around quite quick enough also there is some awful slowdown in places which wasn't an issue in the first two.
