I love that trading quest

Played through that again last year. It's pretty strawberry floating good. I couldn't remember the tail end of the game, the fire dungeon was a complete blank and I was horrendously stuck.

Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 - PC

This is a really good podcast game - put something on and then chill out repairing cars. It is a bit of a grind at times - you can't unlock the ability to repair bodywork until you hit level 35 which is taking a long time - i've got at least 10 cars which i found in barns and at the junkyard which there is little point working on because they'll still be rusty as hell because i can't repair the bodywork yet. The steam workshop is full of cars ripped from forza horizon 3/motorsport so that's expanded the roster significantly.

Deus Ex Mankind Divided. I'm enjoying this a lot. I hope it carries on being as fun as this. Stealth/non confrontation play style has been really cool. Just made to the Arc leader in Golem City. I love dystopian future stuff, and this is ticking all the right boxes for me.

Makes me want to play Human Revolution again. I really grew to love that game.

It really is a great game, although on balance I preferred Human Revolution

In general I found the transition loading cutscenes too frequent and annoying, but they were all worth it for that one

I've just become accustomed to long loading screens. It always helps to have a smartphone around to occupy yourself in the meantime.

Shadow of the Colossus (PS4) - Cinematic splendour with real style. I am a huge fan of The Last Guardian and this has a similar vibe. Three beasts down and I'm taken aback at how cool this is.

Night In the Woods (Switch) - I can't say too much about this as I'd hate to spoil anything for potential players. It is a weird, clever, captivating thing; a kinda spooky and odd Animal Crossing stuffed with life issues and feelings. It'll be absolutely marmite for folk and, luckily, I love it.

I assume I'm nearing the final part of Mankind Divided. It's been great so far, I have loved doing the sidequests and upgrading Jensen.

Wolfenstein:The New Order
Absolutely loving it. I'm noticing why some people say it's a bit janky as an FPS as I've had a couple of one hit kill at the end of levels by enemies that haven't caused any issues at other points in the game. Other than that it's a game that feels like it was made for me.

Super Mario Odyssey
A perfect game to pick up and grab a few moons but strawberry float of some of them get a bit obtuse. A wonderful game.

Stardew Valley
My current night shift game. I'm still not convinced it's for me but time does seem to evaporate when I play.

Fifa 18
Missed the last few Fifa games and got this in my PS4 pro bundle. This feels like a huge improvement, loving it.

PUBG
Might have to give up on this, I don't have the time to dedicate to getting better which means I'm not getting any better at the shooting bits. I'll stick with it for a bit longer but I think my gaming time is best spent with single and multiplayer player games I can dip in and out of easily. The nature of this game means I might pick up a gun that I haven't used for weeks.

I've basically got myself addicted to the first RollerCoaster Tycoon again.
I got the Deluxe version on Steam a while ago and it was the best £4.79 ever spent.

This is fan-flipping-tastic. Behind the 2D cartoon images lurks a range of 4D real-life stuff. I know I'm probably going overboard a bit, but it feels like this will be a runner for my GOTY.

I've been tempted by this but have yet to take the plunge. How much is it on Switch (I'm assuming it's download-only)?

It's £17.10 or something equally strange. I bought it for my up coming run of night shifts.

Spent quite a bit of time on Dragon Quest Builders on the Switch, and it's as good as I'd hoped from the demo that was available.

I'm just getting into Slime-san on Switch. Think Meat Boy / VVVVVV / The End is Nigh but with added slime.

In Slimetown, the home area, I stumbled across a wee arcade:

...and then a dude who is into disco:

...before venturing into another apartment where this guy thought I could be a Hero of Slime:

It has lots of absolutely cracking music tracks, too. Great fun so far.

I started a great game last night, it's a Stay Dead game called Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds. It's a beat 'em up that actually has depth. Me and Jazzem played it for about 3 hours and it's damn fun.
