Keep game discussion to a minimum (create a new thread if you need to talk in depth about a particular game)

Carry on....

I've mostly been playing my PS4 as I haven't got room for a desk for my PC and Boomerang makes it worth playing on console.

Geometry Wars 3 - enjoying this a lot. Got that same feeling that the previous games had where it's just so easy to jump into. This is the one area where Resogun let me down - you have really long runs in that, lose your multiplier and then essentially have to restart if you're chasing a decent score.

Far Cry 4 - I'm not sure if it's a real improvement. They're clearly big believers in the "more is more" school of thought and everything both good and bad about 3 has been turned up.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.

The demented twinstick roguelike Smash TV Zelda loot 'em up.

It's been weeks since it was released on PS+ (Vita and PS4) and I still cannot get enough of it. Even while I have had more traditional games (games which which push the respective tech more than the 16bit-alike does) at my disposal, Isaac has remained a mainstay this month both on PS4 and Vita. I start DA: Inquisition tomorrow but I wonder which of the two I will end up playing more of...

Geometry Wars 3 - So happy this series is back and so far 3 is just as good as the previous games. I'm very happy to see the Classic modes back as well. Love me some Deadline.

Dark Souls - Still playing this absolute joy of a game. Just reached the Crystal Cave so I've only got 3 Lord Souls to go and then I'm off to fight Gwyn. I'm really taking my time and milking as much from this as I can. I doubt I'll do NG+ though. By the time I finish it Bloodborne will soon be out and I've got Demon Souls on PS3 to play as well.

Shadow Of Mordor - Been plodding through this from time to time. I think I'm gonna wait till I get my new Graphics card for christmas before I really power through to the end though.

I kind of have too many games to play. Currently nearing end of Sunset Overdrive so when thats done ill play more GTA V and online im playing only Battflefield 4 at mo. I had a demon of a game lastnight, came third overall out of 64 players with 28 kills and I captured a ton of bases on conquest, all on the the new Hangar map in the new DLC. I've finally got a gun that works and cos that map is helicopter heavy I had the stinger to keep them at bay. :datass:

I've finally gotten decent at an online shooter game, havent been this good since CoD WaW.

Escape Dead Island (PC version).

It's an odd game, but inherently enjoyable. Plays quite well - fantastic performance on my PC - and I quite like the cel-shaded look of it. It's some kind of curious Dead Island side project; linked to the events of the first DI game but only peripherally. Developers Fatshark did, I think, a reasonably good job here. I know it's not fared too well critically, but I'm loving its simplistic approach to gameplay and the whole thing, story wise, moves along at brisk pace. Corny as hell in terms of storyline, script and voice-acting, but it's inoffensive and if killing zombies is your thing, this one won't disappoint.

Kinda want Escape Dead Island but I'll wait till it's like, really cheap before I bite.

I tried out Far Cry 1 on PC earlier today. Didn't like it. Uninstalled :shifty:

Far Cry 4 - I'm lovin' it.
CoD: AW - Campaign is improving. On-line kinda 'ebbs and flows'
Battlefield 4 - Mainly on-line

On the horizon? Dragon's Age (probably Christmas)

Super Mario Advance 3: Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
and
TFF:CC
on the 3DS.
I've been playing these two for quite a while (as in: months). I probably will cave in and get Persona Q by the end of the week, so I'm trying to get the most out of those two before that.

I haven't spend a lot of time playing games on my Wii U (or even longer on my 360). Somehow if I want to quickly start up some game, I usually pick up my 3DS. And then end up playing for hours anyway. The release of the Mario Kart 8 DLC made me play that a bit. But not as much as I would have expected...

Really enjoying gaming for the first time in a long time, in particular Far Cry 4 and Zelda Wind Waker HD.

Firstly Far Cry 4 - I've said it a few times, but this game runs brilliantly and looks so sharp. I am enjoying this so much and am spending a lot of time looting treasure and upgrading my equipment before heading into main missions. Some of the animals are pretty annoying and even on easy they just ram into you without warning! I must say the start of the game was pretty epic and brought the player into the world well.

Wind Waker HD - Forgotten a lot of this game past the Dragon Roost area and am spending time getting the hearts and treasure charts. I will get them all!

PES 2015 - Not really been playing this much, but want to start a fresh master league team with the unknown players as well as some online games.

GTA 5 PS4 - Not really played much, but the first person view is pretty immersive and the graphics are pretty decent in 1080P!

Quest of Dungeons, it's bloody hard even on 'normal' difficulty but its a fun experience.

It's turn based too which makes it ideal for my rather limited hand movements.

I love a good turn based game, that reminds me I need to get back into X-Com and Fire Emblem on 3DS. Is the New Civ any good ?

Beyond Earth? It's not bad but it definitely feels like a step back from Civ V (with all expansion packs) as there's currently not much complexity to the game, the AI isn't great and it's a bit unbalanced.

I'd wait until its had an inevitable expansion pack/DLC before getting into it.

Destiny.

Started it last night with a couple of mates and it was decent enough. Didn't think I was enjoying it that much. Then I stuck it on at 10:30 this morning and have only just managed to turn it off - as i've not had anything to eat or drink all day and both controllers are out of battery. It is very Haloy. The music and the visuals makes it just feel like a Halo game. The combat is ok, i've got no idea what's going on with the story as I lost interest in that right at the start, but I think i'm level 14 or so now. I did one of those free roaming missions for about an hour and it was the most boring thing i've done so far, do they ever end or is it just an endless stream of go there, scan that, go there, kill that?

If anyone wants to play with me i'm on the PS4 version - GT is joer131

The plot was absolutely mental. Never would have played it if it wasn't for the Wii VC, and the word of mouth. The Wii game is also amazing.

I'm playing Stealth Inc 2. Surprising game, I've only played an hour or two, but I've been struck by how tightly designed it is. Some of the puzzles are quite well put together, lots of nice eureka moments. Judging by what I've played, it may be up there with the best that the E Shop has to offer. It has been fantastic so far.

I need to read up on the plot for that because although the game has English voice acting none of it makes any sense without background reading. God knows what was being said in that text that appears during the credits.
