Been Yakuza 5 past few days still, and will be playing it as soon as I get home from work. I'm at 95.5% completion and I think I will actually want to 100% it, would be my first Yakuza 100%ed.

In meantime Pokemon Go/Ultra Sun when I'm not working or anything, i.e. bus journeys.

First time I've played any Mega Man game. I'm terrible at it. WHY CAN'T YOU SHOOT UP OR DOWN

Don't play the first one. It's shite, this is not a commonly held opinion, but it is really strawberry floating shite.

Start from 2, you'll thank me later. You can sort of shoot in different directions in that game if you use Metal Man's weapon.

If you wanna play the best 'classic' one, get 9. It's a fantastic game.

I can only beat Cutsman and Bombman, think I'm gonna move onto 2 next. I appreciate the historical aspect but it's not a particularly fun platformer in 2018.

Been playing lots of King of Fighters XIV on the PS4 again, picking up DLC characters and trying to get all of the proper endings with the preset teams rather than just playing with my favourites. Still my favourite fighting game of the gen I think.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon on PS4. Reached (and finished) stage 7 last night and it would seem that's the point in the game where it starts getting silly with loads of moving platforms and enemies fuzzing projectiles at you left and right. I'm going to attempt stage 8 this evening after work.

I completed “the last of us” again and I loved it and parts of it I didn’t remember,
for some reason I thought Joel died, I must have been thinking of the walking dead (Lee)
can’t wait for the sequel

I've been playing Enter The Gungeon and Celeste. Both great games, but also very demanding and in this heat and humidity I can't spend much time playing them before I need a break.

I noticed last night that Burnout: Paradise was on the PS Store for just twelve pounds.

So now I'm playing that and having a grand old time. :toot:

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Dead Cells - PS4 - it's bloody perfect. Castlevania meets Metroid meets dark souls. Everyone should play it. Has an amiga game vibe to it too which elevates it even higher.

Wish my image sig would work

I'm even keener to try this out now, Godzilla  . I missed the discounted download price offer on the Switch version and so I'm going for the cart version which launches next Friday. I'm looking forward to it!

Salt and Sanctuary.

I really like the Castlevania aspects of this - the large, interconnected map, the powers that unlock new areas, the levelling up etc.

What I find more annyoying are the Dark Souls aspects. It's not as satisfying combat-wise on a 2D scale and a lot of attacks and enemies feel cheap. I've been one-shotted a lot more than in the Soulsbornes titles and invisible enemies or ones which send you flying upon being hit frustrate me. The latter largely because 90% of my deaths must have been from falling down massive pits. The game map unfortunately seems to stuff big drops everywhere.

The level design isn't quite as clever as Dark Souls either, relying a lot on simple switches and locked doors creating shortcuts. As it's 2D as well, you like a sense of place or the world coiling around itself again and leading you back to aj area in a surprising way. The world also looks quite dark and samey too

It's been decent but I would likely rather play Dark Souls again, or a proper Metroidvania.

Pokémon Yellow Version via emulator. My brother informed me he had found my old Pokémon Red cartridge yesterday and surprisingly enough my old save file with a tonne of Pokeymans in storage is still intact. The whole conversation got me wanting to play some first gen Pokémon so I gave Yellow Version a blast. I got to Viridian Forest before calling it a night.

I'm about 20 hours into Planescape: Torment and while it starts fairly slow (not helped by my habit of destroying the pacing in RPGs by checking every corner), it's beginning to really grip me now. Annah has just joined my party and I'm about to head to the area where she collected my corpse.

The world is so inventive and the dialogue is excellent. The other night, a solid 30 minutes of one play session consisted of discussing the Planes of Existence with a dude in a bar.

Having a blast with WarioWare Gold. Reminding me of how much I loved Touched and Smooth Moves which I played the crap out of back in the day. Lots of rehashed content here but there is enough new stuff. Liking the fully voiced cutscenes too. I really took to the charming cast of characters when I first played this series, so it's neat seeing what they're getting up to now... I need to check out Game & Wario, Twisted, and actually properly play the first game.

Also turned on my PSP today for the first time in forever, to check if I still had Symphony of the Night on it, and found I still had Valkyria Chronicles 2. Thought I had deleted the game or its save but it's still there. I gave up on it a while ago, then later thought it was a pity since I was so far into it. I want to get back into it now, just to wrap it up.

I defeated Majima's Mr Shakedown last night, the cash boost early on was well-received.
