Gone back to Luigi Mansion 2 to try and complete the game before the first one comes out on Friday, and while fun it really does run out of steam towards the end. Don't get me wrong it's a great game, with some fantastic puzzles and areas but it just feels like they put loads of stuff in here because people moaned the first one was too short.
Also the levels where you have to chase the ghost dog around the mansions, can bugger off.

What's the general opinion on this game: Life is Strange: Before the Storm?

It's basically an interactive movie. Really disappointed in it considering how much I liked the original.

Also the main character is a pain in the arse.

I loved it, myself. I don't mind the character too much, it fits her well and the talk back feature was pretty fun.

Also like the fact you can't simply change decision. That being said I do prefer original and Max is more cooler, but I still loved before the storm.

On subject of the title... Still playing Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, on section where I can do episode 2 of each world's.

I've been finding gaming a little frustrating of late, as none of the games i've been playing have featured a shovel! :dread:

This means i'm left with no choice but to improvise...

I love the sound effect when the guy first gets smacked with the plunger.

Finished it. It isn't a game at all. It's an interactive novel, really.

It is interactive novel, the original game is also that -- but it's still more interactive than likes of Steins; Gate and Chaos;Child (which I've enjoyed a lot of). Looking forward to Life is Strange S2 when I got enough cash though.

Luigi's Mansion 3DS, among other games. I was looking forward to playing this one since I never got close to completing it as a kid and enjoyed Luigi's Mansion 2 a lot.

So far I am enjoying it but it does feel less intuitive than the sequel with some (unsurprisingly) less than modern game design - but I don't necessarily give it a pass in this area, since other games at the time have aged better. I don't like the poltergust gyro controls and there's no alternative control scheme, but they aren't gamebreaking for me. At least you don't get interrupted by Egad every time you enter a new room like in the sequel.

Also since some people were asking about the frame rate, it's fine. It dips during cutscenes and tanked to below 'cinematic' levels during the mass Boo-escape bit, but it's steady during regular gameplay and it's good enough for what kind of game this is.

You have to use gyro? Well I guess that kills it for me :(

Oh god that drove me nuts over time! I really hope they tone that down for LM3, I want to be left to my own devices and feel a Metroid esque palpable isolation

I read that on a new 3DS you can use the 2nd nub, on non-new I suspect gyro is the only option

I just found out you can use the D-pad instead of gyro. Panic over.

What are you playing on? After finishing it (on PC) I've started Battlefield 1 on the PS4 and the step up in graphics is very significant.

Yes?

PS4. It's been a while since I played it on 360 but this version does look and run nice so no doubt some improvements, although character & npc models give the games age away.

The original is more than an interactive novel. You have to solve puzzles/situations, avoid death or get round a situation, usually using the time powers.

There's nothing much to do in this one. Just drawing on stuff, and then carry on to the next point of the story. There's no threat really.
