Activated my first Boss Cell :datass: After weeks of playing and still being unable to locate additional Moonflower Keys, I decided to check YouTube as I thought What could it possibly spoil?! Turns there are at least 2 more stages I haven't unlocked :slol: :fp: I also want that strawberry floating heavy sentry gun thing *now*.

:o I can just imagine how awesome it must be just battering your way through the early levels of that with a top tier build. Unfortunately, I kept on getting lost in the Clocktower so never made it any further.

How many hours have you put into it so far?

I'm almost certain there's one permutation of the Clock Tower which is borked and so doesn't have an exit. I mean, what are the chances that *both of us* failed to spot the exit on that one stage?! :slol: (I think I messed up by failing to do something as obvious as not using the teleport rock outside one of the blue locked doors - You know, the one where you teleport in amongst mobs and fight your way down to the other side of the locked door and step on the floor plate to activate it.)

How many hours...? Cripes. Too many?  Conservative guess is that I've been playing it for a few hours a day since I bought it at the end of August.

Get back on it! Oh and, do you know how to "break" the game's rogue-lite element? :shifty:

I really should. My failed attempts at rogue type indie games stopped at Black Bird though, which is why I'm having an easy time of it with World of Final Fantasy atm.

However, breaking Dead Cells, you say? Tell me more :)

You just close the game down as the You lost X cells message/body dissolving animation appears. Then just reload and select continue and the game will start from the last spot you, or it saved from. A further insurance policy is to copy one of your better runs to a backup save slot. I would never have bested The Hand if I didn't use those.

I really wanted to like WoFF because I *love* the art style  , but the demo didn't do it for me. Will give it another bash at some point.

Decided to give Fallout 4 another whirl. Spent most the evening modding it instead of actually playing.

Borderlands 2 on PS4.

I beat this on PS3 a while ago and always wanted to give the DLC a go but I’m pretty stingy so at around £25 it was a bit steep.

Instead I’ve bought Handsome Collection on PS4 from Argos for the bargain price of £12. So for less than half the price I get 2 full games plus all the DLC to boot.

Dead Cells

Beat boss with a Boss Cell active. Not even funny how much better brutality build is compared to tactical. Oh and heavy sentry with fire dmg buff did all the heavy lifting  A bloody shame it dropped directly off a mob and not via blueprint
2nd Boss Cell removes all health fountains :slol: :slol: :slol: GTFO second Boss Cell.

Continuing on with my last Skyrim character. Still finding stuff, explored Blackreach, got the Elder Scroll. Levelled up my smithing to Daedric level. Great game.

Been playing a lot of Mad Max, surprised by how much it's grabbed me. The on-foot stuff is a bit meh, but the driving and car customisation is great, I especially like the convoy chases which make for some great moments; did the last one yesterday, blew up all the defenders except for one which ran me off the road, took it out with the explosive harpoon then boosted off a ramp to land right behind the convoy leader as it tried to get away and slammed it into oblivion. It's a shame that there aren't more main missions along the same lines, it pushes the less fun on-foot stuff a bit too much. I also like that there's a tangible reward to all the usual open-world tasks instead of being an empty box-ticking exercise, looking for scarecrows to pull down or minefields to clear is more compelling when there's a snazzy new engine riding on getting a region's threat level down, and taking over camps is more worthwhile with the increased scrap income and project parts you can get.

Forsaken. Still. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with my £25 purchase.

Finally managed to unlock the Dreaming City (that strawberry floating Ether public event in the Reef took an age to spawn) and I'm glad I didn't read anything about it beforehand...

I assumed it was another player hub rather than another map entirely. And it's much better as the latter. It really does feel like the combination of everything Bungie have been doing, and the product of all the criticism (rightly) laid at their door. Even something so small as having the patrols be given by actual NPCs makes the area feel more alive, and the constantly brawling Hive, Scorn and Taken make the place feel genuinely undersiege.

There's still narrative issues a plenty however. After the final stage of the plot missions set up the mystery of who Riven was, and why he was behind Uldren's fall, it immediately jumped to a cutscene that preceded to spoil the whole thing.* I also still don't know what the strawberry float the Dreaming City actually is, where it is, or what's going on. But because the area is so good, I don't care.

*I know this was triggered by the Raid being completed, but 99% of people are going to arrive in the area, have a mystery set up for them to solve then have the reveal thrown at their face. It's such a bizarre way to do plot.

Over past week I've been playing lot of Persona 4 Golden on my PSTV(and Vita), I decided to start again instead of picking up from older save and I'm glad I did as it gave me excuse to follow the story better and how to do stuff, really enjoying it much more this time around. Not sure if I prefer it to 3:FES but it's still great game.

I think I'm near end, but I do have all that stuff with Marie to do since I maxed her social link.

I also should go back to P3P FeMC too, at least on casual front having beaten P3 and all that.

What was that cutscene that spoiled the whole thing, Taf? Can't remember it myself but I've been playing the game basically every day since September 4th so it might have slipped my mind.

Played as soon as I entered the area which was a bit annoying. I suppose it's necessary given the shifting nature of the Dreaming City, but it was something of an anticlimax. I should say though, I'm strawberry floating loving the game in general. It's amazing how far Bungie have come. Started shipping around for clans now as I really want to get onto the endgame content. I'm a bit annoyed the final Super unlocks are behind the Blind Well activity as a decent fireteam seems mandatory to complete Tiers II and III. Did you say you found your group through reddit Parksey?

Also, a bizarre question here: have all of brer's posts disappeared for anyone else? He seems to have vanished completely...

I recently learned of another way to make the game easier: enemies scale! So if you want an easier time of it on the later levels, then don't collect each and every level-up scroll you come across.

The cutscene unlocked as soon as the world first team cleared the raid - so you just missed seeing the Dreaming City (1 week) before the raid - but lots of people weren't even max level. So didn't miss much build up :)

You can only get 1 Seed of Light from BW2 btw. The other comes from...somewhere else.

The official app is ok for group finding oo

Yeah I've put some LFC messages out on Reddit and the official forums but nothing yet. I'll likely end up joining a huge faceless clan and spamming their discord for groups.

Ah yeah, I remember that cutscene now. I was wanting to go in blind and not know what Riven looked like, so was about miffed it showed you, though the only spoilery stuff bar that is that you kill the raid boss and that the curse has started. The latter isn't really a secret as the curse is evident regardless of whether you did the raid or not.

It was cool at the time though, as it changed the appearance of the Dreaming City and kicked off the ongoing three week cycle. I think it also unlocked three new story quests, a strike and... something else, which I won't mention just in case you're going in blind.

And yeah, I found my clan on Reddit. Or rather, my IRL friend found it while I was on holiday and signed us both up. Fortunately it's a small clan so not just faceless nobodies, but we can usually muster a raid team if we give advance notice. Did the third encounter in the raid tonight, so reckon that's the halfway point.

Yeah, most of the clans advertising on the official forums are giant, 60+ groups. I just want a wee group of nice people to play with. OH WELL.

Finished the Ace of Spades quest and it's my new favourite. strawberry floating murders in the Crucible.

Have you tried rllmuk? They have a dedicated community over there, and because PC owners are generally in the minority, they might have a small PC clan with space for newbies?

You can try LFG just for the odd spot on a random team too. Don't know if you're ready for Last Wish but the others should be okay. I guess the problem is if they ask for players who have finished the raid/raid lairs before. Some don't mind people with less experience though.
