It's been Final Fantasy XIV all during the month.

On bright side it's saving me money! That way when I'm bored of it I have all of games that I want to play ready for me to play <3

I just went with "strawberry float it, I'll play what I want to" rather than worry about games I've not played.

Revisiting :

Dead Space ignition

Currently trying to get past a virus challenge but keep getting slapped about by the green stumbling dickheads.
What an absolute big, bigger, large, huge, colossal, Jupiter sized pile of poo this game is.

Soon as I'm finished I'm deleting & I'll never let it violate my PS3 ever again.

I don't understand, if a game is bad, ditch it. There are far more worthy games that you could fill your limited time with. No point in playing something shite.

I started Paper Mario 64. Game is charming as hell.

I'd agree but that one is short anyway. Think it took me 2-3 hrs to 100% it.

Still pile of poo, but I get free stuff in Dead Space 2 (I think) so :shifty:

Mainly yakuza 5 - roughly 37 hours in now. I have done so many sidequests, yet only have 13.5% complete. I think i am coming to the end of the penultimate character and then on to the final few hours i assume. Crazy, varied, bonkers and yet the best yakuza ever made. I told myself i would do all of the sidequests this time, but had to draw the line at harukas! I pretty much completed all of saejimas and kiryus, which was good. It feels like an age ago i did the dragon of dojimas missions. Brilliant game, which will likely be completed before dark souls 3 is out.

Its an odd one as i don't really want it to end as i know yakuza 0 won't be here until next march at least. There is dead souls to keep me occupied and i may replay yakuza 3 as i have forgotten that one.

Hopefully we get yakuza 6 on these shores and i think we will albeit sometime in 2019. Hats off to sega for bringing this to us as well as developing a pretty intense and detailed videogame. Its not perfect, but it is gripping and fun to play.

AssCreed Syndicate - PC

Finally got round to the final entry of my epic series playthrough, and its certainly been an interesting and enjoyable ride. I had to turn down a good few settings including going to 900p and locking it at 30fps, but its still perfectly playable as it stays at 30 99.5% of the time.

As for the game, mechanically its the ubisoft template again, which for the series that invented it is hardly surprising. The story is also pretty rote, however at least the Fry twins are interesting or at least likeable. I'm glad that we have male and female leads without a cringey videogame love thing going on between them. However i find the movement and combat a lot less smooth than Unity.

On a similar level Its nice to see a city i know fairly well for a change, and that is close enough to the present to see a lot of recognisable places that survive to this day. However many elements are a step backwards from Unity i think. The packed streets of Paris had a better sense of place for me, so i'm disappointed that they went back on the progress made in terms of world-building.

I can absolutely see why the series is taking a year off. Black Flag, Unity and Syndicate are probably the best this series could get in terms of grand scale, drilling down to a single city or daring to mess with the protagonist(s) in its current form. Its good, but now needs a full gameplay strip-down and rebuild around what i think is an interesting and fairly unique premise.

I've stumbled back into a "play something for five minutes and then switch" phase. Which is silly, so I'm going to focus on...

> The Division (PS4) - Great fun, put in 20 hours so far, currently level 11. Yeah, I tend to wander around quite a bit.
> Final Fantasy XIV (PS4) and / or Elder Scrolls Online (PS4). I enjoyed both of these, but I haven't really played either of them for around six months. I've even forgotten the controls and commands :fp: . It feels like time to get back into them.

EDIT: Oh, and Watch Dogs (PS4) because I was enjoying that...

Heavy Rain on PS4. What the gooseberry fool is going on with the walking controls in this? Abysmal. Granted Until Dawn is nearly 10 years younger but it plays so much better.

Started a MyCareer on NBA 2K16 which is pretty good. Even better is the mobile game MyNBA2K16 which is seriously addictive. Adds in nicely to the main game with you able to earn credits to spend on upgrades but also has that collectible card game addiction factored in as well. Stacks to do without have to pay for in game credits either.

Just freed the third star in Paper Mario. This game is fantastic. May have aged visually, but the gameplay is great.

Been playing Star Fox 64 on the side as well. So good.

With the advent of BC on the X1 I now have 3 categories of games in currently playing.

Offline:
The Witcher 3 DLC, at some spooky house that now warped me into a painting! I'm fighting giant spiders! :dread:
Fallout 4: Still doing random non story missions and exploring.
The Long Dark: made it to a radio tower station but need food sharpish, I've lots of bullets and a new rifle so I'll be deer/wolf/bear hunting when it's not a blizzard!

Online:
FIFA clubs with mates as usual.
The Division with the Grcade Crew
Halo 5 - best halo MP since 3 (whisper it - it's prob better)
Rainbow 6 Siege, an absolute blast!

BC:
Alan Wake - much harder than I remember, still a looker!
Fable 2 - Beautiful, Gorgeous and still great!
Dark Souls - frame drops are more noticed, but the core game is still brilliant, great having my saves via the cloud.
Left4Dead2 - surprisingly still very active online.

Like Jawa, games to go back to:
Elder Scrolls Online - I love it every time I play! :fp:
The Crew / was impressed by how this works.
Forza 6 - again, I love it everything I play it, best precision based racer over eve played, the rumble feed back is second to none.
Ark - base destroyed but ill come back stronger. Looking forward to tribe war.
Prison Architect - again play it for hours when I fire it up.
Rise of the tombraider - a brilliant game matter by fighting goons again, except more of them. I know once I get past latest bunch I'll get back to Tomb Raidhng properly but it still annoys.

The last boss in Paper Mario is pretty dumb and stupidly long. Final bosses who can heal themselves :fp:

final fantasy xiv still

I become Mentor and while it's bit flawed system (you get asshats who become one just for title/crown to "show off"), there are people who actively want to help out newbies and I happen to like helping out newbies when chatting with other Mentors :D Made some new friends too.

Also got alt on it just for fun, named Zu Dzigo who's Lalafell Paladin, it's making me enjoying tanking.

I played a little of Oceanhorn on iPhone today and while it seems to be a fun, polished Zelda (specifically Wind Waker) clone there is a glaring problem it drains the battery like there's no tomorrow.

After getting it on PS+ I decided to give Zombi a look. I had been contemplating getting this on Wii U but I'm glad I waited now. At first I didn't really like it but now I'm starting to enjoy it. One thing I dislike is how although you can regain your gear from your last character if you die you lose your weapon skills although I understand why this happens as they were the other characters skills.

I hadn't noticed that. I'm also playing through this. Disappointing that you can't see the Zombie versions of other players like on the Wii U, but trophies and the PS4 controller make it more enjoyable so far. Shame they couldn't have improved the graphics, felt last gen even on the Wii U.

Seems like this gooseberry fool is just as bugged as the Wii U version. I'm at the Tower of London trying to do the Evac and the last part is clear the landing area, but there is strawberry float all there to clear so helicopter won't land. Had to quit out as nowhere to go. strawberry floating game.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die

Tried multiple times to get into this, thought I'd give it another shot as I strawberry floating loved Bloodborne. Still not feeling it. It's much, much harder than BB to the point where I'm actually getting quite bored trudging back and forth between my bonfire and a new enemy I can't kill. It just feels so slow too; every time I dodge or get knocked down I start hammering the controller in frustration whilst my guy slooooowly gets himself up.

Saying all this, I'm still only in Undead Parish, and I've heard the opening few sections are the worst of the game.
