Black Desert Online.

Had it sat on Steam for an age after picking it up for under a tenner. Decided to have a brief look yesterday evening. So far it seems like your usual MMO afair, albeit with a very JRPG look and feel to the game. What struck me immediately about BDO is that it is by far and away one of the prettiest MMO titles I've played with a huge emphasis on character creation that is not only incredibly detailed, but which can be continually tweaked and refined to your hearts content once the opening tutorial is out of the way.

Will have to play some more to see if it has any legs, but initial impressions are promising.

Been playing a bit of the F2P game Midair. It's essentially a Tribes clone, but after Tribes:Ascend lost its playerbase thanks to some shitty decisions it's nice to have something to fill the void.

Been playing Burnout Paradise Remastered for most of the weekend and for a 10 year old game it's incredibly fun and much better than all the recent Need For Speed games. Probably EA got a new Burnout in development.

Playing lot of Fire Emblem heroes has gotten me back into Fire Emblem Fates Birthright, this time I've decided to stop going stalling by grinding for S-links and levelling them up, and just do chapters. I made it bit too easy so far but I do have Conquest for prevention of over-grinding.

Enjoying the story so far, and I like the locations. Just had to turn off battle animations though as I've got so many units it's lot of paddling...

Jumped back onto Doom last night (PS4). Such a fantastic game, although coming from the PC version I did have to up the sensitivity for movement as I felt I couldn't zip around quick enough when surrounded by beasties.

And then some more of AC Origins. I like that the generally relaxed pace means I can just dip in and out of the game at my leisure.

I need to get back to AC origins, it looks eye bleedingly gorgeous on X1X, I think I'm past the half way stage and I have killed all bar 1 on my kill list but I haven't been to most of the map... :o

I've been meaning to ask about the kill list. I'm already on the last one, but I'm only level 13 and barely feel like I've scratched the surface. I'm guessing there must be some twist in the story I've not seen yet?

Got bored at the weekend, so I loaded Pokémon Gold back up to start a new run. Just going to see how quickly I can get through it with just Feraligatr, might see how it differs with Typhlosion and Meganium. I could see the Meganium one being tricky compared to the other two mind so I'll leave that for last.

I've also been playing F1 2017 as well, just up to Silverstone in my second season and I've just finished buying all the departmental efficiency upgrades so upgrades cost 50% less meaning my upgrade path from now should be very quick although I think I'll drop one upgrade into each of the reliability upgrades before starting on performance, I've waited this long to get going a few more races won't make much difference.

Returned to Pes 2018 (gearing up for world cup) and feeling Jawa's pain. Was relegated from division 5 down to 7 - just couldn't stick the ball in the net! Though had some improvement tonight - back up to division 6. Woohoo! Hope I don't get too sucked into the pes blackhole though, have a few other games I would like to start!

Super Mario Bros 2
Still not convinced by this. The main mechanic - pulling stuff out of the ground and throwing it - just isn't fun to me. I'll push on though as I want to play through these old Mario games.

Mega Man 2
Having a lot more fun with this. Just the right amount of challenge, varied gameplay, great music, tight controls, etc. Nice strategy involved with the weapons and order of who you fight as well.

Hey, dmin - it's cool to see you back playing PES again! I'm back in Division 7 now and using Villarreal, playing well, controlling the posession... and not scoring :fp:  .

I know what you mean, dude. I've only really played PES this past week; I was annoyed with it but now I'm right into it :-).

Having finished Fire Emblem Birthright yesterday I've went ahead and started Conquest under same difficulty / mode; so far I like the challenge and story's better although there are some silly things. Regardless, got to Chapter 12 -- gonna have to do castle battles just to try get social links high.

This sounds cool, dmin. I don't game that late very frequently, but I'll keep an eye out for you online :-).

Just started Destiny 2. So far, enjoying it - feels just like Destiny but with a different story. No bad thing.....

Just finished playing a bit of SFV. Man, I'm terrible at it.

Now playing Doom, then I'm going to jump back into AC Origins.

Having bought Mad Max for about $10 I think in a US PS Store sale about 2 years ago, I finally started playing it last week, maybe prompted by the fact it’s now been free on PS+ :fp:

Anyway, I’m quite enjoying it. The combat isn’t as strong as the Arkham games, but it’s not bad. The driving is great though. Love ripping drivers out of their seats with the harpoon, and the landscape is destroyed beauty in a can. I’m just cruising about, clearing camps and finding goodies. Only started advancing the story last night.
A fun game. More tonight!
